It's sad that he goes, becasue I'm sure he will show what a WC player he is in his next team.
I still don't understand how people believe that coach Conte merely never saw the guy play and thus Elia is this incredible diamond that nobody knows anything about. :sergio:

Just because he's rarely qualified enough to be called onto the pitch in a regulation match, somehow the entire Juve coaching staff is completely ignorant of his WC abilities and thus he's this unknown enigma that could have otherwise transformed this mediocre club into sudden greatness.

I'm not sure what's a worse measure of quantifying a player's abilities -- a blind judgement like this or basing it off of someone's highlight reel on YouTube or viewing their stats in FM.

I should tone my sarcasm down next time, or at least make it more obvious :D

I was just joking about how some thing highly of him. I agree what you said, but would like to add one thing, that from the time he was given with us we should be happy that he is going away, I have never seen such tacticaly lost player on the pitch in top leagues. All in all he was terrible when he played, not only by himself, but I think he confused and exposed our whole team with his random positioning and actions.

And from those times I have seen him play for us I can't do anything but agree with Conte's decision to not field him more. I think Conte even wanted to make use of him, considering his comments, but he just didn't deliver. Ship him as far away as possible from us, ASAP.

yeah, but those players don't look clueless when they are on the pitch. This dude when played didn't know what to do at all.
