i would not blame elia for twittering while we are applying the silenzio stampa. i do not think he is even thinking about how he performed today, but just happy that he got to play and that is what he is saying in his tweet. no need to bash him for that.

i agree that he needs a few starts to get into shape but i don't think that that we can afford that. you guys blame conte for fielding players where you know he has to substitute them and by this already wasting one substitution from the start and the probability that elia would get substituted is very high right now.
it's funny to see in what delusional state some people got into... "we can start him, we got nothing to lose anyways" ??? wtf ? lazio is breathing down our neck and the coppa italia tie against milan is not yet won (we are just one bonucci error away from having a real problem against milan in that game). we simply can not afford to give elia consistent starts. we need the points in the league dearly and when we miss out on the schudetto we better at least win the coppa.

i am all for regularily bringing elia
for vucinic at 60th minute or so, when vucinic is showing his lazyness, but thats the upmost we can do for elia right now!

the comment "you need to keep all players happy" is just showing lack of knowledge about football clubs. i have never ever had a couch who achieved that and there probably will never be a coach you here off. either you field your strongest squad where you think you have the best chance to win or you keep everyone happy but get relegated. it's actually a really simple life lesson "you can not make everybody happy, so make the ones happy that matter"

Agreed I think a start is what he needs and I wouldnt go as far and say he was lazy tonight. Yes he lost balls but he went right after it she he lost it that time he tried to go in and out and two players and defensively he was back there quite a bit. He needs continuity and confidence and this not going to happen with only 75 minutes of total playing time this season. Nice to see positive subs though instead of a Padoin or that walking std even though he managed to get 5 minutes.
    :agree:
Elia seemed to be so scared from everything around him. I can't even imagine how did he felt like. Such a terrific pressure layed on his head.
exactly that is what I saw too. and I can't believe people here are judging him on only this game

Plays 20 mins in 20 matches and people are writing him off :sergio:

Conte's fault for never giving him time, not even in Coppa, and then sending him out in an important Serie A match with little time left to win a game.

if it was so obvious why did conte put him on now? and not padion?
did you actually realize that conte was not on the side lines this match, but in the stands ?

damn girl, your posts do (very often) show lack of football & juve knowledge

of course conte did not instruct the man in charge to "never play elia", but the fact that conte by himself does not bring him and it takes conte being in the stands for elia to get a chance says something...

and this is coming from someone who did not even watch the match, i can't understand why i can get that information, while you can not even while watching the match

Let's hope conte saw that determination to come back and defend and see his eagerness to take on his man instead of whipping it into the box just for the sake of it. Conte obviously isnt stupid he's just very stubborn but the fact he saw Elia play away from the pitch and in the stands hopefully gave him a better perspective of the game and what players are obviously lacking in creativity and movement. I may be blowing smoke but I think Conte from the stands had a better view of his team so let's hope we see some changes or else good on our assistant to know better and not put in Padoin or Std in. I would of snapped if he game on.

I see a lot of bullshit too here but I have my opinion
but if you have such a high football knowledge you should know that conte still made the changes ;)
you know it is modern football not the fifties

again your displaying a very "simple mind" aproach often used by drunk fans in pubs to make the world you perceive make sense and of course there is the wishful thinking of yours so you hope conte wanted elia to play.

of course conte did brief his "substitute coach" before hand, but that is it. since you do not seem to watch much football you might not know this, but conte would be fined if he even tried to influence the match while serving his ban. you could now argue that he might use a cell phone or instruct others to use a cell phone to call alessio and make some changes, but this tactic is long gone since mourinho i believe it was got caught for that and was fined and banned again. surely conte does not want to risk another ban for the gain of influencing a game that never actually looked like we would lose. and NO conte did not use telepathy or any other thing, because since the media is mostly milan based and biased they would quickly analyze every footage of conte in the stands and what he does to make a media scandal out of it to get him banned a few other matches to make sure milan really has no competition.

So the Brother finally got some game time. Such a shame I didn't get to watch the second half. Either ways, from reading the post here seems like he didn't perform like most wanted him too. Scoring a hattrick and making 5 assist despite not playing the entire season, but hey it's cool!

I came to peace with the idea that Elia might not be with us come September. He probably isn't the type of player Conte wants, but I'm pretty sure that we can ALL appreciate the fact that the brother didn't bitch, whine and complain about his situation. Props to Elia, I wish the best for my brother.
