don't hail him as the saviour yet... elia did just that: play the ball way to far past his opponent and once the keeper got it, the other time the defender still got it... so don't act as if elia is not prone to that kind of failed tricks

and the pass to marchisio was more instinct than clever or something .. he surely did not mean to do an actually assist (since marchisio was not in an goal scoring position anyways). he just instinctly put the ball out of the reach of the defender and had luck that marchisio stood there

I liked the way he was playing yesterday. O can't claim that he has to be our first elleven player, but to be put in the game from the bench he deservs. I don't want the situation with Reto Cigler be repeated when we almostly have no possibility to watch him playing at all. With Elia could be the same, in case where he could be as an addition for any transfer bid in winter.

I liked alot how he got angry at himself for the initial miss, shows he has desire to succeed.

positive attitude on the field, did everything like conte wanted it, and that assist was very sweet.


beeing benched for so long, seemingly pays off. conte could be pulling another nice transformation with him here.

I agree with you. After almost half of the season have past, we can undoubtedly recognize that Conte has a great influence on young players. He seems to be a good psychologist and motivator. So there could be a deal from Elia.
