What are the odds that he's going to come good?

I surely wouldn't bet on it.
He doesn't talk the language, he's playing in a team where he knows no one, he's never played in the league before. there are a lot of factors against him right now. He is obviously talented and his skills match the needs of the team (unfortunately unlike Krasic) therefore he should be afforded a little time. He's also still young.

All the above applies also to Vidal, now look at Vidal's situation and at Elia's.

We should never have signed Elia in the first place anyways.

It does but he managed to mature quicker so Juventus are now reaping the rewards. If Ellia comes good we will all be cheering. But in reality it's only been a few months. He obviously doesn't deserve a starting spot now but give the boy time

Haven't seen much of Elia, in fact, I haven't seen him play in the bianconeri shirt at all.

If I were to guess, I'm thinking it's because he doesn't help out in defense. Knowing how Conte plays, he wants the wingers to go back and cover the wing backs - this is the same reason why Krasic isn't playing as well.

    Can someone confirm?
