I really hope he does. I can understand why people criticize his play and his consistency... or selfishness at times, but they keep on going on about how they've only seen him play for our NT and how he did well there, but he's still crap because he was a 'benchwarmer' at Hamburg.
I would ask the same people what Giovinco has achieved in his career so far that they worship him, but.. meh. I'll leave it at this and hope Elia does well for us.
I'm not saying he is, nor saying that Elia will do great, but the reasons for simply hating the player when he's clearly not shit are just wrong, which annoys me.
He's in the squad for Holland who are the number one NT in the World. Giovinco sits at home watching the worst Italian side in years on TV. Elia won a Dutch title with Twente being an influential player, Giovinco helps Parma stay up.
In his first 6 months in Germany he was great and it was only until he suffered an injury things went bad for him. Giovinco rotted on our bench for two seasons.
I don't agree with what you said earlier Nick, but.. that's what I meant when I said "what has Giovinco done to be worshipped?". It's truly laughable, since they only look at Elia's stats when hating him. Kids these days...

You always do this. I don't know whats with you and Giovinco but you seem to compare him with everything and everyone. And Elia is LEVELS better, really? Look, I am not going to explain to you why I PERSONALLY prefer Giovinco. You'll just make another silly comparison in a few days anyway.
