First of all congrats!.. who went to tahrir square? :)

Can you believe the fucking idiots who support Mubarak and say he is like our father and that kind of crap?
first question i did'nt i went to korba :eyebrows: :eyebrows: was going to tahrir on the last day but the parents where on the phone with some harsh threats :D so i sneaked to korba instead.

as for question 2, yup there are some people who said that shit and some went as far as havinf facebook status's right after it was announced that he ducked and ran off. things like " aywa ya sha3eb ya zebalaa ebsetoo delwatee ba2a ento mesh fahmeen haga" or stuff like " fa7'amet el raes thank u for everything u have done for us blah blah "

i had around 6 friends in tahrir int he last 3 days so i heard about how epic it was and how every one was one big team.

i knew u would go once u got back hope it was an expierence u will never forget and will always treasure.

i like this one a lot. i love the fact it was shot during the demonstrations and shows how every one was happy and determined to do this and get mubarak down. the words for the song are pretty decent for an arabic song compared with the usual habibi habibi sec sec sec :D

I was there the last 4 days. On in the inside is so much different from the outside on TV. Its actually a lot less serious on the inside ever since the day protesters got attacked by Camels and horses.

Its a festival. We had sweet potatoes, Koshari, Beans and Falafel, Popcorn, Cigarettes, Water, Hummus el Sham.. all for sale inside the square. Hundreds of families, children, even babies. It was like a new hang out place.... instead of going out to a cafe we now go to tahrir. It even has the spirit of a festival or a big football match rather than a revolution.

The anger came back only when the president gave a depressing speech saying he will stand down after numerous reports that he is stepping down. That is when it was a revolution again.

Its much much easier than one would have thought it'd be like. I am sad I didnt go from the start.

 hey at least u where there for the main part :D bec in korba it was insane but i know for fact not like in tahrir!! my friends told me its like the perfect egypt u know the one our great grand parents would tell u about in tahrir :) i was dying to go but my parents are not in the same country and for health reason i cant just tell them i'm going ekbatoo raskom fel 7etaa bas eashta every one had a role whether the people in tahrir or the ones in lagan sha3beyaa or the humanitarian aids for the people and hospital in tahrir. i hope this spirit stays bec it makes this country soooooooooooooo much epic. i love how egyptains are all together in this no fights no conflicts every one cares for one another and thinks about the others instead of just about him self. i also love the fact people specially people our age love this country still after years and years of being forced to loose faith in this country. also feeling proud to be an egyptain never felt this good before :) i think thats the main part bec we never felt this proud even after winning footie games it was never like this at all.

i think the most impressive moment was right after his last speech when u can clearly hear the chants and they were soooooooooooooooooo loud RESPECT!!

I went to the Egyptian embassy in Washington DC on Friday night...was kinda lame :p There were maybe a little less than a 100 people there. I'll upload a couple of videos later.

Btw, that dude standing behind Suleiman looked like Ben Ali. When I first saw the video I was confused..."What the heck is Ben Ali doing there?" :D

they should kill one another to be honest both are on the same level of worse only difference gamal showed up more.

CAIRO (AlArabiya.net)

A heated argument broke out between Alaa and Gamal Mubarak, the two sons of the former Egyptian president, inside the presidential palace last Thursday during the recording of their father's last speech to the nation, Egypt's government owned al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Sunday.

Hosni Mubarak reportedly was supposed to announce his resignation in a speech that the military sent to him on Thursday but his son Gamal and senior officials in his entourage pressed him to deliver a different speech in which he insisted on staying in power until September.

During the recording of the speech Gamal and Alaa engaged in a heated argument that almost developed into a fight. According to the report, Alaa accused Gamal of dragging the country into corruption by helping his friends in the business industry climb the echelons of political power.

"Instead of working to help your father be honored at the end of his life, you helped damage his image this way," Alaa reportedly told his brother Gamal, who was the head of the ruling party's policies committee.

The argument was so loud that almost everyone in the palace heard them, the newspaper reported, adding that some senior government officials interfered to calm them down.

The newspaper said Gamal lost his temper after he heard the recording of the speech that his father was supposed to deliver that night and in which he was going to declare stepping down.

According to the report, American officials were aware of that recording but they did not know that Gamal had prompted his father to discard it and record a different speech, which was delivered that night.

Earlier in that day U.S. President Barack Obama had told an audience in Michigan that "we are witnessing history unfold," a sign that Mubarak was stepping down. Hours later, President Obama heard something perplexing: Mubarak was not quitting. Obama apparently did not know that Mubarak’s resignation speech was discarded by Gamal in the last minute.

The report cited a senior Egyptian government official saying that Mubarak often refused to listen to "sound advice" from his aids, taking briefs almost entirely from Gamal, who had often downplayed for him the uprising in the country.

During his last days in office Mubarak became almost politically isolated, often making concessions when popular demands had already gone higher.
