I can't imagine how his wages would be too much for us. They certainly shouldn't be. And if City are prepared to let Adebayor go for £6 million we should be playing hard ball over any fee for Dzeko, somewhere between £15-£20 Million. They may just finally be realising how much they've overspent previously...
Also, can you imagine Mirko and Dzeko playing upfront together? Because I can't... I just have big doubts over Dzeko, more so than most of our other 'targets'.
Alex Ferguson looked at Dzeko but didn't go after him because of his concerns over his pace and whether he could cut it at a top side. A year and a bit at City hasn't done anything to convince anybody otherwise. Until the last game of the season, Dzeko hadn't scored since February. Perhaps he's just too nice of guy, too quiet, to be a success at a club of egos like City. Maybe it'd be different for him here but a transfer Dzeko would represent a risk for anything over £20 million in my opinion. He just seemed unable to produce for City, consistently, when they needed it against a top side
