I don't think it's a problem whether we get Jovetic or Dzeko. Both would improve our attack a lot, but it's not like we (Juve management) will make the choice. The market will do that for us (price, players will).
We're getting Armero (good move), striker, and probably a cb which wasn't planned at first. So the question now is: can we afford any of Dzeko or Jovetic?

I can't imagine how his wages would be too much for us. They certainly shouldn't be. And if City are prepared to let Adebayor go for £6 million we should be playing hard ball over any fee for Dzeko, somewhere between £15-£20 Million. They may just finally be realising how much they've overspent previously...

Also, can you imagine Mirko and Dzeko playing upfront together? Because I can't... I just have big doubts over Dzeko, more so than most of our other 'targets'.

Alex Ferguson looked at Dzeko but didn't go after him because of his concerns over his pace and whether he could cut it at a top side. A year and a bit at City hasn't done anything to convince anybody otherwise. Until the last game of the season, Dzeko hadn't scored since February. Perhaps he's just too nice of guy, too quiet, to be a success at a club of egos like City. Maybe it'd be different for him here but a transfer Dzeko would represent a risk for anything over £20 million in my opinion. He just seemed unable to produce for City, consistently, when they needed it against a top side

Dzeko earns around 9 million euros a year (between 7.5 and 10 depending on the source). You don't think that's above our salary cap?

I never said it was. I said I couldn't imagine why they should be so high, he's certainly not worth that money. In my opinion, even accepting the fact that this is Man City, he hasn't done anything in his career to warrant circa £135,000 a week.

This is the problem with Adebayor as well. Just because City are paying these guys ridiculous wages, doesn't mean they're worth it.

What is our salary cap supposed to be? As I read a quote from Agnelli saying that there is no salary cap per individual...

Have you given yourselves a salary cap?
"No. I only say that Juve has a capacity of fire, that is, salaries plus depreciation and amortization, which is between 150 and 160 million euros. And this puts us in the top ten in Europe. Within this, anything goes. If we apply the equation, of how much it costs the team, you're always at least in the second round or in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. "
