I'd be massively disappointed, but that's just me. I have high expectations, and I was hoping for RVP/Higuain/Cavani this year, and JoJo/Suarez next season. Acquire Destro's 1/2 this year, and pay the rest next season, and we have a formidable strike-force for years to come. Show the players a winning project, and they shall come. Be ambitious and dare to dream, and the sky is the limit.

Honestly, I wouldn't keep any of our strikers except Vucinic, cuz they are all nothing special. I have a feeling Gio is going to be a solid bench option and nothing more, and that if we get Dzeko, he'll score goals but won't show up in big games, because he's not that World Class player we desperately need. He can't do shit on his own. A very good player, but a Higuain/RVP or Cavani even, he is not.

Huntelaar flopped hard in Milan, why would we try our luck with him?

I still believe Dzeko is a great option, dont need no skillful attacker if we play a solid teamwork like last season, what we need is a clinical striker and Dzeko fits in well.

why would we actually get a striker who has a high wage demand right now, if we now that FPP is looming around the corner potentially forcing the wages to lower in the grand theme of things. if we get someone who will do well for one or two seasons we might bridge the gap into the more economic future where others want pay so much for wages anymore and we could at least compete for pretty much all players. if we buy a high wage player now we have him sitting on our budget for three years with his high fee.

I did not call him a flop..But IIRC he played on the wing only for 2-3 games when Pato was out for a brief period in Leo's 4-2-1-3..

Either ways Leo preferred Borriello over him from the start.

there are always many views one could take on that issue. why don't you argue that leonardo just thought huntelaar was not good enough to warrant a starting spot as CF ?

it's mindbogling how many times people who did not even see the players even once in training claim to know more of a players value in a certain position than those unlucky guys that train those players day in and day out.

if just all the sporting directors where as smart as the guys in the internet. clubs could save so much money by employing people from the internet whose only source of information is youtube clips of former games to judge who to put into the starting eleven.

it's elia all over again. elia is not a professional footballer and still the fanboys and girls did claim that it was not elias fault that he hardly played for hamburg. it's always the stupid coach who obviously is overpayed because the armchair coaches from internet forums can do a much greater job !

Perhaps, but I think so little of Leonardo as a coach that that wouldn't sway my opinion.

Apparently RVP is on his way to City, Mancini offers 250k per week. In that case Dzeko and Tevez would be on transfer list.
Corriere and Tutto claim that we can get him for 25m.

I think that would be a more-or less fair price. City know they overpaid beause hthey signed him in January, plus he hasnt been in such good form there (although he wasnt bad as some say, but he didnt set the kleague alight) and he'd be the 5th striker, so I'm sure he'd want to leave. 25 to 30 mil € should be more than enough to get him.
