How long are you planning on arguing about who was wrongest about Dzeko's salary?
Can't see anyone arguing anymore. Besides we've already clarified that. Want to see the list?

Well, I've been snooping about a wee bit and most sources place him at £120.000/week which is roughly €7.1M/year. Seems a bit out of our reach, if my understanding of our wage structure is correct (with Buffon netting €6M/year and supposedly taking a cut).

Man, it would be awesome with some Deloitte like reports that showed individual wages instead of total wage bills.

WRONG.

Edin Dzeko earns 7.5m pounds annual salary which equals 9.3m annual salary in Euros.

http://www.trophy4toon.co.uk/salaries.html

And this is as of 2010-11 season..

The reason why Dzeko's move to Bayern is stalling cuz he isnt ready to take a pay cut.And they're apparently offering him 7m euros per year.
In UK the reported players' salary is tax inclusive and in Italy it's after tax salary, no?

Don't really know if they are allowed or if its a private matter. Anyone know the rules in England?

I know that my salary is between me and my employee (and mr. tax of course), and it's my decision to tell unless it says in my contract that I can't.

Yes, certainly. I mean, even among the players in a club they don't necessarily share their respective salaries. The total wage bills have to be included in the books though - all the individual figures are just more or less informed speculation. I've read everything from £100.000/week to £150.000/weeks with most agreeing on £120.000.

No way to know for sure though v0v

You could always try to contact Dzeko?

Considering that Juve's budget seems kinda limited, which striker would you bring in?
How limited is it?

Hard to say who to go for without knowing how much Juve can afford by way of transfer fee and wages.

Don't like the idea of Van Persie, though I'm not quite sure why.

I think Juve, unless they are willing to break their current wage structure by some distance are limited to signing a younger, less established player.

On that basis I would primarily be looking at Damiao and Lewandowski.

I also wonder if Jovetic would be an option for CF in the long term.

Just now he's certainly at his best playing off a main CF, but he's pretty strong and could well become a capable CF as his career progresses.

He'll either go to Bayern or stay at City..

I dont see him coming here especially since he would have to take a substantial Pay-Cut more so than the salary Bayern are offering perhaps.

This is again one of the reasons why i am not really keen on Kolarov move.He earns a sh#tload at City.

Lewandowski looks indeed like a logical choice.

I don't know about Damaio, I don't find him that good from the little I've seen.

I actually really like that we're trying to keep our wages under control. And forking out al-City level wages for RVP or Dzeko doesn't really sit well with me.

It's fine to be ambitious but we're a floated company, haven't some oil well at our backs and the first serious FFP monitoring period is coming up. Last I looked we're kinda on course to reach FFP break even with regards to operating balancing. Taking part in the wage race in the UK isn't really gonna help us there.

Damaio certainly has a higher ceiling than some of the other names like Destro for example but i'm afraid we'd lose out on him too since PSG are reportedly in the race and would be looking to expand their Brazilian colony..Targets like Damaio really would force us into a bidding war and we all know we arent ready for that.

Without being too thorough in my research.

In the UK you pay 50 per cent of any amount earned above 150.000 GBD (Highest marginal income tax)

In Italy you pay 43 per cent of any amount earned above 75.000 EUROS (Highest marginal income tax)

With Dzeko or any other high earning player, it seems that Italy might have a slight advantage in terms of tax pressure.

I haven't calculated it yet (too late and too busy).

But I'll do it in a couple of weeks.

Top rate in the UK is coming down to 45% in April 2013, so that will pretty much end any minor advantage Italy may have right now.

If we cannot get someone like RVP we are clearly waiting for a big team to move for a striker, this will cause a domino effect and someone somewhere such as Dzeko will have less playing time. Right now this is who we need, a quality player in that category. Do no exclude Damiao if nothing like this eventuates.

Red beat me to it, I just read what you said and I completely agree. I too have wondered about Jovetic as a CF. He has all the attributes for it, his finishing is rather good and if Gio can replicate his form, same with Vucinic, well that is still three players that can get to double digits.

I would be satisfied if we can someone like Lewandowski, Young player who's already established, Negredo/Loriente aren't too shabby either, they are plenty of good strikers that can be had if we decide to show some money.
