The salary makes him unrealistic though.
Neither a transfer fee can be reached imo.
He is not more realistic, just more available and there is a certain reason for that...
Agreed. And I think Dzeko's talents are bestly suited for the EPL -- I'm not sure how'd he'd do in Serie A. To me Cavani is the no-brainer. Young. Goal machine. Knows Serie A. Has UCL experience and goals. Not injury-prone (I followed him also his time at Palermo). He's costly, but worth it. well worth it.

Dzeko is probably the only striker out of all names that Juve has been linked with that has a big chance to happen. Cavani and Higuain are not affordable.

Dzeko
Money + Giovinco to Napoli for Lavezzi and we're set.
That looks good.
Dzeko does need a creative player next to him other wise he would end up with the same problems Matri had. But I dont know if we will sign two big name players this summer.

We have to offer players competitive salaries with other top clubs. I dont think Buffon would mind if a player was earning more then him, as long as it makes the team competitive. If you asked Gigi if he wanted a top striker at the club who earns a top salary or if he wants us to keep signing Boriello level players for our attack what do u guys think he would pick? No player will join Juventus and take a big salary cut. if u could make a 150 000 a week would u join a team that offered u 70 000?
Maybe if they were not playing and making 150 000 and we offered 110 000 and a starting spot they MIGHT take it.. but who knows. Either way we will have to spend. We can't get players in high demand like RVP who is being offered crazy money by City ... so we should go for players who have just as much quality but might not be in such high demand, such as Tevez (cuz he is a mutinous) or Suarez (cuz he is Racist). Those are players we may just have a shot at signing. Same goes for Dzeko and Balotelli.
if money is the most important thing for a player, i dont want him at juve. there needs to be a functioning wagestructure at the club. the best and most proven players should earn the most. If not that would hurt the club in the long run.

your solution to sign troublemakers or idiots (balotelli) is not the juve way.

I never said sign Balotelli, just that he is a player we actually would have a shot at signing. Juve needs quality and no top player will join a team if u dont pay them. Do u think Buffon, Nedved or Zidane would have came here in the first place out of their love for Juve ? We had to pay a fortune. We can't expect them to come just because we are Juventus.. maybe once they come they will learn to love the club like the ones I mentioned did.

Good point, and thats why I think we should get Cavani. We could easily double his salary. It's just what does ADL want for his transfer fee.

Zidane was bought for 500,000 DM.

But we paid him pretty well. Were we not discussing salaries? We paid all the big players at Juve way more then what most clubs could afford at the time.

Just because we are no longer top dogs financially it does not mean we can build a top team without paying top players lots of money. That idea will lead to failure. We have a good core which we built up well but to take the next step we have to spend big to a few elite players.

Yeah but I dont think it is reasonable to think we can compete with City, Chelsea and Madrid in terms of Transfer fee for Cavani. If anything we will end up playing the same role we did when we went for Aguero and Dzeko. Napoli will use us to increase the fee and then we will miss out on the player to a wealthy club. I would absolutely love if we could somehow sign him though!

He would've scored alot of goals this year with the chances we create. However I'd like a more complete forward, someone who can create for themselves. Higuain and Cavani are my first choice, however if we can get Dzeko for around 20 million, I feel that would be a very good move.

Not just us, no team in Italy could afford to pay a 10mil salary+10mil taxes, not even Milan!
Of course Dzeko would accept a salary cap though, but not to a quarter or a third of what he earns now, just forget it...

its just not an option to compete with the salaries of city and the other top spenders. if dzeko cant play for juve for 4-5m per year, so be it. we have to focus on younger talented players, and develope them ourselves.

look at udinese and what they get out of theyr budget, which is 5 times smaller than ours. we are a much bigger club of course, but we have to be smart about our money, unlike city, chelsea and the likes.

dzeko can fuck off, such a step down from the likes of Cavani and Higuain, he's hardly much better than Matri. No way should we be going for him
