Dzeko agent: 'Ideal for Juve!'
By Football Italia staff

Edin Dzeko’s agent is pushing for a move to Juventus. “He’d be ideal for Antonio Conte’s tactics. We hoped he’d play more” regularly at Manchester City.

The striker was on the verge of a transfer to Turin when he was at Wolfsburg, but opted for the Premier League instead, where he won the title this season.

“Dzeko would be excellent for Juve,” agent Sead Susic told Radio Radio today.

“He is still tied to a long-term contract with City and ended the season well. However, we had hoped he would play some more.

“Maybe Roberto Mancini is wrong to use him so little, considering his average goal-scoring ratio, but in any case I think he’d be ideal for Conte’s tactics.”

Susic also revealed why the proposed transfer to Serie A broke down two years ago.

“At the time neither Milan nor Juve could sign him because the price-tag was too high. The Bianconeri are still interested, as are Real Madrid.

“We’re trying to work out what City will decide to do, then find a solution. Anzhi? I don’t think he’d go there.”

he could score all gos goal tap in styles like inzaghi all i care. i just want a striker to actually fininsh all those chances pirlo and vucinic create
Matri is not benched because he miss chances, every striker does that from time to time.
he can't cope with the high tempo and contribute to our build up play which sees him fall down in pecking order, very same reason why Dzeko's benched at city.
Old fashioned box poacher. Conte do not want.

@Hustini keep dreamin buddy :D

TBH, he didnt say we cant compete, he said we cant be the market leaders regarding transfers.
In other words, he said that if City, Barca, Real, Chelsea or PSG want a player, we certainly can't compete with them financially. Something we all knew by now. Even if we make a financial sacrifice with a 40m eur transfer and 6m eur wages, we can lose on a player because the other teams will match the transfer fee and pay 8m for wages.

The difference between this summer and last summer, imo, is that this time we are in position to make a ~30m eur offer for a player. We weren't in the same position previously. But will that be enough to secure that player will depend solely on the interest City and co. show in the same player.

And.....................nowhere in that article does he say "Juve Can't compete on market".

Just that Juve cannot be the market leaders due to the financial enviroments.

Kudos to Football Italia, though. They managed to stir the pot again.

And we have more appeal, such as CL to offer a top player. Something we couldn't last year.

Exactly. The difference between us and them is that we have a limit upto which we can go, the rich clubs dont.

They can always +1 (million) us.

And here comes the time when Marotta need to step up and express his abilities to convince the othter players that accepting a 6 mln wages is much better offer than 8 mln:D

Champions cost the going market rate, however f^&%ed up the going rate is. So if there are four-five Champion players on the market, and if we cannot make a competitive offer for one of them along with City, Barca, Real, Chelsea or PSG.. then we will have a bargain basement buy. I'd say nominally we could make a 25m offer for a player - but this year we should be able to offer 40-60 on a major investment since we have revenue from the stadium, we just won the league, and have Champs League money.

The difference being that the aforementioned clubs you used as examples can write off a bad 40-60 million euro investment without it greatly affecting the bottom line. Juve simply can't do that. Not Yet. A good portion of the revenues are still going to the club to pay off the stadium reconstruction debt.

This is going to take some time before every penny that they make will actually be able to be re-invested in the club.

And it sucks that unlike those internet-less times when Moggi was showing his magic with "out of the hat" top transfers, every player has like 2-3 agents today and the moment Juve makes an offer they'll tell the world about it in order to start a bidding war for their client and earn more money.
