Finally a game where he does not fall to ground and complain after each duel. The gesture towards that Roma defender was a bit hypocritical.

Games like this prove that he has some qualities to be a success for us, but it is he himself who is his own worst enemy.

An elite striker, especially one playing for Juve, should not be this weak mentally to go one game bitching at the ref for 90 minutes, the next game making silence gestures to the "haters" after doing his bare minimum goalscoring job and the game after goes back to moaning and flopping on the floor.

Nevertheless, good game and nice assist.

I’d say he pretty much had one of his best games for Juve even without scoring. Finally he didn’t play like whining pussy. Hope this is a turning point.

I'm on the fence here...in slow mo he should have buried it in the net, but the reality is the defenders were super quick to get back and block it.

Realtime I thought he fluffed the chance, but that was a good block. Maybe could’ve gone near post, maybe.

A lot of his shots get blocked, particularly the side foot attempts because of the huge wind up and golf swing he takes. By comparison look at Dybala’s low back lift when he shots with the side of his foot and in turn how fewer shots he has blocked, albeit his slighter stature helps.

Not to put a dampener but he did play up against one of the softest centre backs I’ve seen in the league. I can only think they didn’t have another decent centre back on the bench as to why Jose didn’t sub him. However, it didn’t bobble often him half as much and his first touch has been cleaner recently.

I suppose in that position you'd expect a top striker to score or at least force a save but all said he only had a brief moment free of the defender's hold to get the shot away, it's different at full speed, and it's a great block. You expect more for the reputation and transfer fee, but I've come to accept that he's not yet that level.

Most would go far post but a Higuain would go near post. So would Quags for entirely different reasons.
