Now. Why not? He scores goals. Much more proven than Vlahovic too.
I think more prudent management is to improve the team is more areas than one. Of course I don't expect a full rebuild in January.
6 month patch is not plugging a hole, it means getting a player that will occupy that position for the foreseeable future. And i will say it again let's wait till August 31st to assess if mgmt addressed other areas or not.

Sure. But allow me an educated guess based on past 3 years. Doesn't making a big transfer in attack while rotating shit and turd in midfield sound familiar to you?

Everything has a risk. But we really struggle to score goals and this guy has proven he's very good at it with limited weaknesses and huge potential. I think under Allegri we are going to forever play scrappy games with solid defensive organization, so even if we have limited chances in front of goal we now have someone who can hopefully convert for us. If you look at his goals, he can score around the six as a poacher, via headers, and also through traffic with his left foot. Perfect striker for a side like ours.
Yes we need to move on from Morata and Kean as main strikers. Everything has a risk? Of course. Surely some moves are riskier than the others, no?

It feels like I'm replying to a mob. Ffs I'm not against him because he's not Haaland. I'm not even against him at all. But don't come crying when we can't get a decent midfielder or LB when boss says we're poor.
you are  Tuz wants the hype train to live! We are flying atm, dont you bring us down!

We signed a lot of commercial deals and increased existing ones eg Adidas, when Ronaldo was here. These didn't automatically stop when he left us and are still in place.

We also had the 2 capital increases which have helped stabilise the losses and I'm sure are a factor in us being able to bid.
Yes. Adidas deal is here to stay. I meant other revenue like jersey sales. Admittedly they're not a big piece of the total revenue, but they were something.

And no one is saying that’s not true. All big transfers are risky. But they are also generally how you get in demand, top young players who are already performing at a very high level. So it’s also entirely fair to think this is a very good transfer covering a gaping black hole that has been made very obvious this season.
Let me ask you this: did we start our rise in 2011 by signing big name players? Or a few very good ones?

Great player, horrible mercato move in the light of the inequal quality distribution between squad parts. JJ hasn't learnt shit about shit as I explained in mercato bread earlier, and generally been explaining for years. Funniest aspect will be the usual suspects starting to shit on Vlahovic because he didn't score because his CM was still selling chickens at the farmers market. Never was a club's downfall more deserved.

We signed Vidal who was naturally a 70m€ striker just like Pirlo.

All you have to do to identify a recipe for success of any team in the world, - JJ, Barca, Real, ManU, Chelsea is to overlay their results with their midfield quality.

How is getting Scamacca less risky? He costs less? Sure, he also is having his best season ever right now with 9 goals, while being a year older. And would still cost 35-40 mil. And you still advocating for it as less risky? How so? Vlahovic shown for 2 years now he is a 20+ goal scorer in League alone. Scamacca shown that he has the ability to go over 10 goals? You want to risk spending 40 mil on a 23 year old who may be ~10-15 goal/season player?

Our gross wages were lowered from 250m in 19/20 to 169m in 21/22, that’s a significant difference.

The capital increase saved our sore asses, but we started working for a healthier structure te moment that 19/20 finished.

If you look to our wage list there’s still so much room for easy improvement, this is basically the last season of deadweight.

Pirlo on a free and Vidal at significantly below market rate because Leverkusen wanted to spite Bayern. These opportunities don’t just pop up at random. As evidenced by the Bosman flops of Ramsey and Rabiot

But are you still gonna sign the needed midfielder?

Vlahovic is a great talent, though you should also look for better options for the mid.
I assume that happens in summer. Management just may not like the available CM options this winter. Summer mercato is a far better time to reinforce. But our inability to convert chances at a decent rate, or even put balls on net, forced their hand here. (Morty 15% conversion rate, Kean 22%, Vlahovic 28%)
