The most important thing for me is that he has that little bit of cockiness and that borderline delusional self-belief that all the top strikers seem to share. He also seems like a really dedicated guy who wants to improve, achieve things and is willing to work to reach his goals. Mentality wise he's more Chiesa than Morata.

Atletico who almost signed him last Summer. He was also strongly linked to City and a bit with BVB as Haaland's replacement.

Then you have Bayern who still Have Lewandowski but who knows how long he will stay there/they want to keep him.

Definitely he attracted a lot of interest from big clubs.
I missed serious City links and Bayern was never seriously linked.

I agree. Haaland is better. Nobody said they were the same.

Vlahovic was highly sought after young striker too, not on the same level, but also not as expensive.
seriously between wages and transfer fee (plus pig commission) how much more expensive is Haaland gonna end up being?

But they're still goals. We don't discount five of Haaland's goals this season because they're penalties.

Or the 4 penalties from 20/21.
The level of skill that goes into kicking a penalty is nowhere near a goal from outfield. I know they are used for stats and awards and such but let's not kid ourselves. We have a reliable penalty taker anyway.

two can play this game. There’s more pressure on a penalty kick.

Transfer fee will probably be double, wages will at least be double.

50m annual v 25m annual. Massive difference. We are not in the realm or conversation of the Haaland transfer. This is a great option itself.

who gives a fuck, no one is saying he’s better than haaland
His name has been mentioned with likes of Haaland and Mbappe as the future stars who dominate the game. I think he needs to perform better in the high level to deserve such comparison.

His annual cost will be ~25m
Chiesa will increase, let’s not forget that officially we’re loaning him. Same for Locatelli, although he’ll be a free loan next year aswel.

Then there are Costa, Pjaca, Mandragora etc who will make a lot of room.

We’re probably at healthy levels, but still facing maximum 5k capacity and not reaching CL is a big risk.

Btw Ronaldo annual costs were two players like Vlahovic in the books. If he remained, Vlahovic wouldve never been bought
