Higuain went from scoring 40 goals at Napoli to literally half of that under Allegro and this was a Higuain that was in the peak of his powers. I even remember him playing CAM at times ffs

Ronaldo's goal tally also considerably improved at JJ the moment Allegro left the club.

Almost a decade of Allegro football can cloud anyone's judgement, having said that, JJ fans have every right to shit on Vlahovic because right through the season, he has missed some of the easiest chances you can get. Even Matri would finish them.

Would be incredibly stupid to freeze him out considering he is our best striker. We should sell him for what we can if he does not extend until the summer.

But I think we should extend on the same money at least. 12 mil in wages is not a lot of money for a top striker in today's football.
I'd even give him 13 or 14 mil if he won't budge and then try to sell him for more. If we sell him in the summer we won't get more than 40 mil for him given he'll be in his last year

yeah that's cute. that salary is outrageous indeed, still, considering all serie a players and all club competitions, vlahovic scored the most goals in 2024. not lautaro, not thuram, not cdk, not lookman, leao, lukaku or retegui, but vlahovic

also tuz is finding hard to come up with the alternatives. jonathan david seems to be the only recurring suggestion, based on some vague rumors. guy's having a good season, just like vlahovic had at fiorentina, but his per 90 numbers aren't any better. if he can keep up in a heavier jersey then i'm fine with him too, but everyone knows that the jj jersey weights differently than the lille one.
