I think this was his worst moment in the game.

Bad first touch (though not easy to receive, a bit too much from Fagioli), lack of agility to retain possession, should have passed the ball to Cuads but I don't think he's even aware of that because it can be seen that he was still trying to control the ball after he turned around his body.

Tbh it is a bit frustrating if our starting CF is not able to create anything from that situation. And it's simply not just about confidence.
yeah, i almost smashed my guitar á la hendrix after seeing this. i think my first reaction was that kean manages to shoot twice from that situation

i like dusan but currently he's got one of the worst price performance ratios in our squad, and we have pogba

For some reason this always happens to Juventus strikers. They don't score goals and get sad and desperate. I have seen this shit soooooooooooo many times before.

no the problem is paying shitload of money for them and get same numbers as if we had Matri,Vucinic,Mandzukic,Llorente,Toni or Borriello.
The point proven so far is that spending lot of money for a first striker at Juventus while playing semi-catenaccio it's useless.

Not if we spend it on a striker that can create for himself/has a wider skillset.

Vlahovic isn't that it seems.
He looks like a classic poacher.

We are a better team with Milik out there ffs. because he can actually contribute to the build up. Can hold the ball, pass, has a better first touch, you name it.

I thought Vlahovic was a better/more complete player when we signed him, but I guess I was wrong. If he doesn't score you play with 10 men.

Unless he improves his first touch and passing it is bit of disaster since he mostly gives up away the ball in his possession.

it's all in his mentality as far as i'm concerned. when he arrived, he was cool for a few matches. i remember the goal (that counts as an own goal unfortunately) that he scored against sassuolo on either his debut or one of his first matches, that was brilliant. he simply powered his way through a few defenders. now you don't see that. you see a frustrated, spastic guy who tries too hard and makes all the wrong choices. he basically when to shoot, falls on the ground too much, stopped winning crucial duels, and not being able to play with the same players around him doesn't help him too much either

pressure is a bitch, especially with young players. the price tag is heavy, the jersey is heavy, expectations are high, and there's that injury too. still, he looks fine physically, he's not slow, he tries hard (yeah, too hard unfortunately), i can still see him scoring any day. i think he'd need a good talk with a sports shrink above everything else.

Right now he's one of our biggest. You sign guys like him to decide close games, he's actually a hindrance rather than a difference maker.
I don't know about an actual hindrance but he's not having any impact whatsoever recently- and that's really disappointing because as you say we paid for a top guy

When the striker immediately gives away the ball every other time he touches it, that’s a part of why we have 38% possession. Lol
Vlahovic had 24 touches in 73 minutes. Got fouled 3 times iirc and if he didn't lose the ball, our midfield lost it or played back to defence. Vlahovic was all alone and immediately had 2 to 3 merda players on him when he finally got the ball

This is what I don't understand. Allegri clearly values, if not prioritizes, hold up play and pressing in his 9s. So why did management splurge on Vlahovic? Scamacca wouldve fit that system way better, and wouldve been significantly cheaper. Same applies to Kean. So that's what, 100M spent on players that don't fit the managers system? Brilliant lol

I’d say that if he just manages to somehow improve his heading ability by being more precise and making himself an overall bigger presence on crosses/high balls then nobody would even focus on his sloppy link up play or back to goal struggles because he would make up for it by scoring a couple of goals from the type of crosses that already put him in favorable positions but where nowadays he doesn’t even get close to converting them(or make anything useful from the aerial balls that do reach him) despite having the height and build to do it.

This its clear as day milik is a better fit for the team than vlahovic and i for one welcome the inevitable scammacquisition

I don't agree with the story that Scammacca is a much better fit for us. Whenever I'vs seen him his linkup hasn't been particularly impressive or his pressing. He doesn't create a lot of chances for himself either.

I think part of the issue is that Vlahovic is so isolated up front. His better performances for us have been when he had a striker near him. The partnership with Dybala was starting to look like a decent at the end of last season.

At the moment we are trying to fit Di Maria up front but drifts too far away from him.
