Essien has barely played this season. Villa has not been very consistent in the second part of the season.

How has Di Maria had a better season than C.Ronaldo, in fact how can you not include Ronaldo in such a lineup

So what if Essien barely played this season, he's been one of the best Definsive minded midfielders for about 2 seasons now and his attacking display is on that level too, IMO he is undoubtedly a must in every best 11.

Di Maria had a pretty good season with Benfica this year, he impressed both in the Portuguese league and in EL but you're right he's not anywhere better than Ronaldo this season yet I see Di Maria playing on the left flank better than Ronaldo will ever will and since Ronaldo will always puch for a forward position rather than a winger one I picked Di Maria.

@Fred: Because Im Chelsea and Ghana fan while Essien is my all time favorite player. While I posted my dream team for this season without realizing how important it was for the players mentioned to be fit throughout the season after all, not fit = shitty player.
