Marotta: "Berardi is a positive reality of Italian football. He could play with us because we've an option but it also depends on him."

hmmmm

Interisti jokes aside.. marotta is right. He has shown little desire to be with us...it will all depend on him.
IF he chooses to go to rot on merda...he is mad as a cow.

Anyways..... if we are taken to the point of having to choose bewteen berardi and cuadrado, who will you choose guys?. Berardi cannot be used as a rwb, because it limits his offensive potential which is his forte and i dont know if he has the stamina nor discipline for it.... Cuadrado on the other hand can play in our 352 which is a huge advantage over Berardi... but his end product is shid and Berardi is a whole world better than him in delivering goals and dangerous shots.

Berardi directly roams the same are as dybala as both use their left foot.,,,

On one hand it would be nuts to let pass a talent like him... but on the other hand i dont know how we will make him play our formation.... unless we play 433 but that would create new problem on attack

Berardi has fantastic end product and not much else. Cuadrado is fantastic at everything else but has very little end product. If you combine the two you would have the perfect winger (Neymar level winger). Depends on the price, the desire of the player (Berardi) and what formation we are going to play. If the rumored price of 20 mio for Berardi is correct, then we should purchase him. At the very least we can make a profit selling him the following year to some midtable PL team even when he flops.

“He has always been an Inter fan, but I can’t confirm their interest as we are only in March”. Berardi's agent again with this bullshit.. It's gettin really annoying

It's like the agent wants to drive a rift between him and Juve. I'll wait until Berardi himself says something.

Can he play anything besides a winger? If not why would we need him, when it's very unlikely Allegri would drop his so loved TQ based 4312 and/or our good ol' 3-5-2.

Hmm I ask because I don't watch him enough but the little I've seen my impression is that he's way to offensive to play as a proper RWB. But then thats what we thought would be the case with Cuadrado and he's decent defensively.

Or did you mean RS as SS?

So basically a SS thats often going wide?

Dunno. This is the sort of transfer i prefer not to opinionate. And it's quite pointless to discuss it now since we've no idea who's leaving, if anyone, and what are our true targets next window.

:agree:

i think he would get his minutes anyway, eather as dybala rotation option or
as a RW/RS in our 433ish formation. but let's just wait and see what happens.

Its worrysome. Because we need to shift a whole formation to slot him. I dont see him playing as rwb cuz maybe he is too aggresive to be constantly tackling peeps. He just need to be provoked to do soemthing idiotic.

As an SS, I dont see him as a fantasista so not sure about that one either.

He is not too fond of juve and also he knows we dont play the formation he prefers.

Its a difficult situation for both parties.

I think it has to do with them being nervous about him coming here and being benched so they want us to not take him for granted.

Although, even tho' Sass will do right by us and honor their agreement Berardi could easily turn us down. It's basically the same situation as Morata and Real.

Although, if their end game is to end up with us, I have no idea why they keep mentioning the Inter thing. Who knows..

Well, Morata has a clause signed by him......on the other hand Berardi doesnt, because is a gentlemans agreement beetween clubs but nothing legally signed.

I believe all the shit we hear from his agent is in the hopes of selling him to the highest bidder. His agent has financial motives, which is understandable.

In the end, it'll be up to Berardi to decide. Him being an Inter fan doesn't mean anything, Chiellini was a Milan fan, etc. Did you see Berardi celebrate when he scored the winner vs. Inter? The kid wants to play, he wants to be part of a project, and he wants to grow his career. I could understand his fears of joining Juve, but he's going to have to have balls like Dybala and really prove he's worth the hype.

Another thing is the tactical issues. Where does Berardi slot in? The obvious answer is at RWB, I think he could do just fine there...we'll lose some defence but increase in offence. I don't think he'd be worse then Cuadrado tracking back, but I think he'd more potent than Cuadrado in attack. Another option is maybe in the "trequartista" spot in the 4-3-1-2. More of a free role though, receive & distribute the ball centrally or drift out wide to send in a cross or cut inside the box. Another option is obviously SS.

What I think will happen this summer: Real Madrid will take their 30M option for Morata, we'll reinvest that money back into Berardi. Then its up to Allegri to figure out where Berardi fits most optimally (RWB, AM, SS) and then Marotta fills in the gaps from there.

I really think he's talented and he could do well here but in the end if he doesn't come here its because he didn't have the courage and the confidence to take the next step. (Dybala and Zaza did). It would be a shame to see talent like that go to waste, but Juve will live on with or without him.
