Is RW the best position for berardi?
Winger ussualy have great dribble.
But berardi don't have it.
He's an inside forward. Since his primary ability is finishing and his foot is left, this is indeed his position. He's also good workrate which makes him even more suited to play there.

Ideally we'd play something like 4-1-2-3.

The striker is either target man or false 9 either dragging the cb's close or run deep. The inside forwards will take the space left in the middle and the attacking fullback/wingbacks will have space on the flanks to provide crosses. This is a very attacking minded style of football and I doubt we'd ever see it here. Not until we sign a non-italian coach that is.

It's sort of the cornerstone tactics to how most 433 teams work when you have reversed footed wingers --> inside forwards.

This is how Real Madrid intended to play when they signed Bale to play RW/R-inside forward and Ronaldo left. Barca play it as well with Neymar, Suarez and Messi. People will explode if you mention successful tactics of other teams, so let's not get this started.!
