Yeah I don't get why people fap so hard over Dybala and don't like Berardi. it is because we already have him/he is Italian im guessing. Not a shiny new toy in a way.
Pretty much both of these reasons. But now they say shit like "but he's had a worse season" when, in fact, he has improved in almost every other facet this season. He is clearly ready to play for a big club after 3 really good seasons at Sassuolo.

Of all the games I've seen Berardi play, he just doesn't seem to play well. It's weird. He does sacrifices a lot tracing back, and he is a very decisive player. But you don't see him actually playing well. Can't really explain it.
It's because he isn't a flashy player like Dybala. He doesn't skin players with pure skill and pace, he hasn't really scored wonder goals. But he is more machine-like and clinical. Like an Italian Thomas Muller (light version lol). Great left foot, good workrate, good pace, good at set pieces, still plenty of upside to his game. At 20 years of age and he has basically carried Sassuolo for 2 seasons, kid is made of the right stuff. One thing he definitely needs to improve is his disciplinary record, can't be missing a lot of games with us due to a bad temper. But I guess it's the Calabrese in him
Now of course the question is, where does Allegri play him if we sign him? I'd be interested to see if he's capable of playing in a sort of SS role, or even as an out and out ST. Would be interesting. But he is a definite option whenever Allegri uses 4-3-3
