If he performs poorly he is going to be commented as performing poorly. No one is expecting a ballon d'or season from him next season, if he according to those standards still performs poorly then he will be smacked.

Relegation teams, have pressure on their manager, but the players are "the worst of the league" so its understandable you lose alot
Such teams can only overachieve by not relegating

If you are in a team that has to play for europa, CL or title, those teams have alot more pressure cause they can underachieve quite a bit if they are 5 places down where they should be.

What is this logic. First of all, Berardi has prove his quality in connection with his age. You can't find anyone to score 4 goals to Milan and in his first serie a year to score 16 goals. If he scored in every match and assist others in every match, then he would't be a talent but a class player. Come on he is 19 he can improve everything and basically his football character. If he stay in that age at Sassuolo he will not do that. He needs experience from a class team, with class players and a man like Conte to improve him. If Berardi was in German or Spanish, everyone would speak about their next leader. Above what has Drogba or Nani from that guy? If we give him a shot we will rewarded.

Also, it's silly to gave as a example the Giovinco case. We took him back at the age of 25. In that age a footballer should not called as a ''talent'' but as an complete player. We took him for what? For changing his role and playing him as SS next to Matri. It's ridicoulus how we waste the biggest prospect of Italian football. And it's funny that we will waste other talents like Berardi.
We need Italians, we are Italian team and we must remain Italian team. If you want to see a team like Inter and buying footballers like Nani, Drogba, Menez then keep believe in a fake dream of Champions league winner.
Juventu's command, Conte and finally Italian factor of football must change mentality and follow the example of German and Spanish teams.

I love how Zach just sees everything so clearly, so perfectly. Like, he sees the game and understands the talent and he knows what he knows and you cannot convince him otherwise.

The logical fallacy is strong with this one.

Also, let it be stated. Juventus got Pogba on a free. Juventus, when we were not at our strongest or most popular time. On a free. If Pogba's mental talent (by the way, it's easy to speak about Pogba's "mental talent" that "everybody could see" in hindsight but I sincerely doubt every scout judged a player with 3 games under his belt and who was constantly getting into arguments with his manager over starting time as mentally strong) was so obvious, how was it Juve who signed him and there was little in the running. And it wasn't heralded as the snatch of the century or a huge upset, it was publicized as Juve taking a youth product from ManU, hopefully it works out for them. That's it. No "Juve just stole the next Zidane out from under ManU's nose" or "Juventus grab the next great superstar on a free." Pogba had zero international appearances, very few first team appearances and was regarded as a good talent who wasn't getting playing time.

Now, everybody is looking back and saying scouts knew it all along and saw Pogba was destined for greatness. Sure, they did. If any scout was certain Pogba would be where he is now, he would've signed for Madrid or Barca or Bayern or City or anybody else. If his talent was so obviously, Juve wouldn't have even had a shot at him.

This is just crazy. Lol. I don't get all the fuss.

Is it so weird that a young talent is given the opportunity to mature side by side with some of the greatest Italian players of all time, in a class club? Do people really think it's better that he keeps playing for a shithole club, surrounded by shitty players?

The guy is talented. Just give him a chance to play with the best, and we'll see how he goes. Pressure will be off him. Juve has Buffon, Chiellini, Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal, Tevez... countless players who are the ones responsible for the team's results. Berardi won't come as Juve's saviour.

It's so obvious. He deserves the chances. Italians have absolutely no idea on how to handle youth. It's kinda sad.

The key difference is that any talent scout could see the massive potential in Pogba, because of his unsual mental traits at his age. Wich is why Pogba at a younger age was allready at manchester united, at the same age, Berardi was a nobody in italian serie B.

Pogba in his first season in italy, last year, aged 19, became the hottest CM prospect since Pirlo, and ended the season with half this forum demanding Marchisio to be benched for him

Berardi in his first season in italy, this year, aged 19, became a player that was mostly playing average or very bad, and had a handfull of games in wich he absolutely stormed the place, scoring multiple goals

Pogba was ready at 19 for a top team. Berardi is not.

Thats because you are posting on a forum, and arent employed as a talentscout at manchester united or juventus.

However, the very first game at juventus, it was quite clear why.
You do realise Sir Alex Ferguson wanted Berardi at Man United yeah? He's been wanted by various clubs since he was about 16 years old as well.

To say he isn't talented, or nowhere near as talented as Pogba, or doesn't have the same potential is ridiculous. 16 goals in his debut season in Serie A is amazing.

I actually agree with Zach. There's no guarantee he'll carry the Sassuolo form to Juve and comparing him to Pogba is ridiculous as the latter is the best youth player in probably the world. However, I'd still take him and give him time but I wouldn't expect him to have even a similar impact to what Pogba did. It would be a waste to leave him in Sassuolo and he could push for a transition to a different formation.
