Berardi is 19, has two professional seasons under his belt and finished this one with 16 goals and 6 assists. I fail to see how Pogba was mature much younger when at the same age, Berardi had far more experience and success.

The key difference is that any talent scout could see the massive potential in Pogba, because of his unsual mental traits at his age. Wich is why Pogba at a younger age was allready at manchester united, at the same age, Berardi was a nobody in italian serie B.

In a fair share of the games I watched with him (9) he played very well and had good ideas throughout the match only for teamplayers not understanding him and plain lack of talent around him. And I disagree that any talent scout would've made the call on Pogba 'because of his mental traits' as Juventus ended up with him - not Madrid, Barca, City or Bayern.

Extreme extrapolation : if a player scores 20 goals in one game, and nothing for the following 37 games, aged 16, is he top club material ??


Nope, the number of goals gives indication of talent. scoring several in a game, several times, is an indication of great talent. beeing many games without goals, and playing pretty bad, is an indication the player isnt mature enough to be consistant

Cause Pogba had the development stage of a 24 year old, and the talent of, oh, he's world talent of the year.
