I don't think increasing everyones taxes here is going to rebuild the economy. I will give the current US government money to spend and we know already they don't know how to spend it, regardless what side of the isle.
first lesson in economy? ur situation means fuck all. we need a general perspective.

increasing the taxes is part of rebuilding the economy. taxing those who can afford it while using those money to create growth is one of the most effective ways to get the economy rolling.

increasing the tax pressure for the richest people in merica would mean a higher income to lower the deficit while not affecting the growth.

But hey, that guy buying those $380 dollar sunglasses on a government issued welfare check/debit card sure has no qualms with his decision. :dielaugh:

With the debt at the amount that it is you could tax the highest earners at 100% and it wouldn't help decrease the debt nor help growth.

Like I said: come to DC and let me show you how people use "entitlements".

Let me make this clear to you: the lower end of our society here is not nearly as educated as the lower end of your society in Denmark...therein lies the problem.

Fix education and this system might have a chance, though I have my doubts.

You can say my drop in the bucket example doesn't work but when you make it 90% of a population feeling the same effects then you see what I mean.

What do you mean people do that lol
I guy came into my store the other day and asked if we did layaway because he wanted $380 glasses but didn't want to wait for his government welfare check to come in.

Verbatim: those words came out of this mans mouth.

Lastly, the bolded. I've never see such a far-fetched statement in my life. I can't explain it any better than I have been. Come to DC, let me show you around and let you see for yourself what these lower-income people are doing with the riches money.

He promised taxes wouldn't go up on the middle class: well they have.

I can't imagine what Obamacare is going to do to middle class pay checks when it finally kicks in. :sergio:

Forza God.
hustini. did you know that public healthcare can increase the growth in the long run, despite being very costly, and therefore be an economic benefit?

the insecurity that the lack of healthcare creates will likely create a fear of spending among those without healthcare, because they need to save money should they become ill tomorrow. this fear, if it affects a big enough group in america, will decrease the domestic demand and therefore reduce the growth in merica.
