Now the believers are probably going to go all "but that's the word of the church, not my religion. I believe humans are much older than that". That's fine, but not really worthy of a discussion. You've streamlined your religion so that it doesn't look stupid (as it would in it's original form) today, but makes you pseudo-christians / muslims, and we're not really debating branches of religion here as that would take up too much time.

Prayer is for guidance so we can hear him and head him and find our path to righteousness and to him. That's what prayer is for. It is like a child who is being raised by his father and that father teaches him lessons all his life.
