Lol yeah, he thought he was gonna die, but what he said was just an instinctual exclamation no different from: "Oh f***!", "Leaping lizards", etc.
He was in the situation he was telling you were not. He is saying how he saw it first hand and you are trying to say you know more about it only by hearing about it.

So if people don't even believe regular things what others expirience and still want to imose their own world view, how can one expect they would believe someone who would say had divine or some other spiritual expirience.

People have problems. If Jesus Christ isn't enough evidence that God is real then people can't be helped.

Jesus is a bit differrent situation I think. What do you think about Mohamed? Is it not the same kind of evidence, yet you probably don't think it's enough evidence.

No he didn't, he even said he couldn't perform miracles. Although, some muslims like to say that he tore the moon in half and put it back together to compare him to Jesus. Not that that would help people anyway like Jesus' miracles.

Evidence. Yeahhh...

He never performed miracles unlike Jesus.
Can't comment on that really. Would interesting to know from some muslim members if Muhamed did perform any miracles?
Mohammed isn't their God, dudes :sergio:

Yes evidence. He was a real man and performed real miracles. Doesn't get much more real than that.

Evidence
Mohammed isn't their God, dudes :sergio:
Proof that people like you have no brain. Where did either of us say he is?

Evidence:agree: Like turning water into wine.
Because that's the only miracle he performed.

Strong argument, i am now convinced that Hitchens is a decent human being.

Its quite telling that you're willing to defend Hitchens no matter what his opinions are on other subjects, so long as he agrees with you on your atheist views and is regarded as one of the more outspoken atheists.
Hitchens was a very blunt, witty, inconsiderate, extremist. He wasnt a brilliant man. I never really had much respect for him. In any case, the guy passed away. Wishing ill upon him is a very petulent thing to do. It's interesting that religious people are okay with saying terrible things about other people when ur books preach the opposite.

He didn't treat religion with respect so he shouldn't be treated with respect event though yes, catholicism says the opposite.

So why the hell are you comparing Jesus to Mohammed and who can perform miracles or not?

 Christ, what a shit start to my day, getting called stupid by... inter... destroyer.

Oh right, evidence because it's in the Bible :pado:

So you diss Mohammed's miracles calling them useless. What was useful about turning water into wine or walking on water, big guy?

To be very frank; there is very little reason to treat religion with respect. Even though hitchens was insensitive, he wasnt always wrong. Religion in itself is not bad. The people who proclaim to be its leaders are corrupt, inhumane imbeciles, and unfortunately so are most of its followers. You cannot shit on reason and expect to be taken seriously. What did you expect? That everyone would just quietly ignore all the idiocy that springs from religious dogmatism and just walk away?

Maybe he performed many other miracles? Ever hear of him healing a leper? Healing of Peter's mother in law? Feeding the 4000 men and their families? Just a few of many.

What are you going to say now little man?

Then why treat anyone with respect if you can't respect anyone's beliefs?

The Pope is the worst guy out. All he does is start wars.

And dude! You are too right, most religious people are corrupt and inhumane.

Don't say bullshit and throw in a couple of 'big' words for the sake of it please.
