This conversation is starting to become tedious as shit. Some of the dumbest rhetorical questions I've ever seen asked as if they're not and actually deserve to be answered. We need a rule where religion talk is disallowed, or at least people who won't stop talking about it.

The debate will continue going in circles. This and Marchisio vs. Vidal of course.

It isn't allowed outside the religion section, so maybe a good idea would be not coming to the religion section?

Don't like it stay out if the threads that talk about it. Leave the others who like to discuss this on both sides alone. no one makes you read or respond

I remember once Richard Dawkins was being interviewed on an american late night talk, forgot which one, and he was going off about how religion is irrational, illogical, for simpletons etc, so the host asked him "Ok you dislike religion we understand, but tell us, what does science say about the point of our existence?" (something along those lines. Dawkins responded "science hasn't figured that out yet". So the host responded "Come back to us when it does". And Dawkins was absolutely stumped like never before.

That really sums up the whole "argument" science is not interested in meaning

That would be the Bill O'Reilly show, I saw that video.

What is your view on the meaning of life? Why are you living on this planet according to you?

No it doesn't that's a fucking stupid thing to say. All that proves is that atheists aren't just making up answers where they have none (unlike the other side).

That's fine but I was just telling you that because many believe that is why most believe in God and that is just not true
Most people believe in god because deep down they are happy having someone else think for them, tell them what to do and feel and they like feeling a part of something important in the scheme of things. And of course there are always other willing to provide elaborate fantasies for them to believe in.

Nice pseudo psychoanalysis. I learned so much about myself.
