Sheik, I think most people would say that I am not a religious nutjob by any means. And I don't mean this as a complete dis. But even I think you -- at least when it comes to religious matters -- are more caught up with trying to be right and superior to others than you are about understanding things.
:agree:

Wrong again about what I'm worrying about. Also, just because my search for god looks different from yours, doesn't make mine any less valid. We are looking for the same thing. What differs is our starting point and our methodologies.
Now this is something I can completely agree with.

The original line of questioning, if I'm correct, was Huitz saying that he wants a move away from religion in government, which you countered with your talk of the founding fathers and Judeo-Christian morality being the base of the United States. What I was trying to say is that we have moved on from that line of thinking, and that morality is not an invention of Judeo-Christians, so why should we be limiting ourselves to that what the forefathers thought? How is that irrelevant?
Well what you stated was that the 10 were man made that didn't imply that the movement has happened. It implied that you believed it was man made then. PS this movement away from that has made a worse off world in my opinion

See its shit like this that makes you seem the way I perceive you. Everyone knows that the basis of the foundation of america was those commandments and that moral system. Yet you pick literal commandments to try and be a smart ass
Wtf! Somebody please tell me: am I doing anything wrong here? Andrea made a factual claim that the US laws come from TTC. Yet when I point out what seems like a contradiction, I get accused of trying to be a smart ass!

In a way, you're just saying that being secular or not isn't what makes a country corrupt, so why hold it against secularism?
because religion is the only thing that keeps us from turning the world into a post apocalyptic place. never mind that people like greeks, italians, middle easterns, etc are some of the most religious and look at what a shitty state their countries are in right now.

You Desis are obviously unfamiliar with the fact that Moses' picture is on our $3 bill.

Which I do think, but that is the only part that should have been deemed irrelevant to your supernatural beliefs.

The rest I'm not going to get into as I want to have a pleasant weekend.

Well those countries especially Italy is not really religious anymore they are 1000000% more secular than the US just look at their attendance of religious services and how many actually consider themselves affiliated with religions

Good question: where there's religion thus follows political corruption?

That said, the Greeks, Italians, and Middle Easterns have probably done more for the betterment of all mankind than the rest of the lot combined. :klin:

That's the only part which I said was irrelevant and it has nothing to do with my beliefs. The basis is on what the founders believed
