Listen to me I could not fathom a life without God yet some it seems can. Yet when they speak of how moral and decent they are without God they never show that decency or morality toward those who are believers. So to me they are hypocrites

Well a sense of superiority is never a productive attitude to bring to a disagreement but it's very difficult to meet half way with someone who doesn't have any faith.

It's moreso about the ability to recognize that faith is a real thing and that just as they do not believe in God we do. The common ground is in the fact that we both have our beliefs and hold true to them. So the discussion should be approached with respect which it rarely is
