man, the posts is too long, i cant read em all :stressed: yes i've been wondering too for those who don't believe in god, when you are in need of desperate help, who do you go to? I mean, surely at least you cry for someone? For me, personally, when I have a problem and I go to God for help, it's such a wonderful feeling.

I'm a good buddhist (like Baggio) but I don't believe that Lord Buddha really exists. The Buddhism teaches us to believe in Lord Buddha's teachings not the Lord himself. All buddhism teachings base on the truth of life and they teach us to depend on ourselves not anyone nor any miracle. Whenever we are in big problem, we don't pray for Lord Buddha to help us. But we are taught to keep our mind calm, so that our heart and brain can open up to see what the real problem is and what are the ways to slove the problem.

My theory about God and Lord Buddha is that both are real persons in the remote time, but just a human being who is a very charismatic leader and philosopher, and whose teachings spreaded over times and since these teachings prove to keep the world in peace and harmony, they became a religion and the person who initiated these teachings was regarded as God.

too relegious....means all the things u mentioned above liliana but they differ in each and every religion!!i do believe in god,i am too religious but i do the things that my religion islam tells me to do ....not do what other religions do...
islam is too different from from orthodox christian's religion....
in my religion,
we are not obliged to do what religion says.
and that;s why many ppl have went far away from god and chuch....

but i believe that this is not good of caurse,
but i believe that God has left us to be free to deside what we want...

why problemsmiss dubai??

everyone has his own religion and he must be ready to hear about other religions too.
or to hear negative things about his religion.
cause nearly everyone believes his religion is the most correct, and he best.
and that's absolutelly normal! ;)

People should know that it is useless, and that it only makes them look bad. A "my team is better than your team" attitude will just get very stupid very fast.

As long as people use their common sense there won't be a problem talking about religion, it's as easy as that. And if it turns nasty we'll stop it.

We're not saying that you're breaking any forum rules, but basic human etiquette dictates that nobody likes someone who criticises without sharing their own side of an argument ;)

In my time at the forums, I've seen several such discussions, but none of them have resulted in people being insulted or offended. I think we're all mature people who know the bounds of what's acceptable and not at the forums.
