I am never sure but I don't recall discussing anything with you. As for rating players, we obviously have a big difference. Riquelme for you is a world class player, for me he's just another choker. That was only an example, I am sure there are more.

Pretty hilarious how Diego fanboys are suddenly claiming objectivity.

I don't really see how we benefit from this deal either, but we could still end up with a good replacement and you all act as if it's the end of the world. One can love Diego, a player who all in all has done very little for Juventus, but if you like Alex, our club top scorer, you're a cunt who knows nothing about the game and is biased.

Relax people. Things will be alright hopefully. This team is still capable of putting a good fight for the title this year. We just need to believe in the new project, and judge the end product. It's too early to judge the end product now and that we will be terrible and have a shit season. Second of all, shame on you for each member wished bad season for Juve just becasue of 2-3 bad transfers. Selling Diego for 15 (+2) millions was a mistake and replacing him probably with Quag or Rossi might a bigger one, but we don't know how this team might jell together and come as a one unit once the season starts. I'll give Marotta the benefit of the doubt for now.

Jack, what would you say if we sign Quagliarella to play next to Amauri? And I want your serious and honest answer. You watched Juve with Diego, what would you think about that transfer to take place instead of Diego?

This question for you too, Andries.

he will make 6M in Germany, as opposed to the 4M he makes here.
whats your point? did he request a pay raise? did ask to be traded?

riquelme was world class and DP was twice the choker he was should we just forget his career and label him a choker? and heres our interaction

buying krasic for the price he was quoted, martinez for 12 mil, bonnucci for 15 and selling diego for the reported 17, none of this inspires confidence
This does mean though that he can't buy either Cassano, Benzema, Vucinic or Rafael.
none of those players' teams are dumb enough to sell star players at a discount so late in the mercato, and btw benzema has been horrid in spain and vdv is a step down

Do you really want my absolute honest opinion? I was never impressed with Diego, he was only impressive in the first two matches against Roma and Lazio and that's about it. And I don't buy "the whole team was crap" argument, if he is really as rated as he is around these parts he would have done much better.

Living in fantasy, denial, whatever stupidity is being thrown around is neither of my concern nor does it affect me. That's my opinion and I am entitled to it. Diego is good but he is limited, the team has to be built around him, the players around him have to be of a certain quality.

Can we be realistic with Diego for a second please? Is it a coincidence that no big team was ever linked with him? He's a player that teams like Werder and Wolfsburg build their team around, not the big teams. Can you see a team like Real Madrid or Barcelona or Chelsea signing this guy and playing a 4-2-3-1 just for him? No way. These are things the smaller teams do.

The guy couldn't even crack Brazil's squad because he can only play trequartista and he's NOT GOOD ENOUGH to be put in that IMPORTANT position for any big team.

Diego is a good player and I like him. Expectations were way too high and he was in NO WAY at fault for last year. But in the long run, if we want to compete seriously in CL and Serie A we need a better player in such an important position on the field.

like he was at real madrid :agree:
Maybe but what about Diego? He had a very bad season at Porto, then at Bremen, it seemed that we were the only "good" team interested in him (considering all those players who were transferred from Bremen to Bayern, one might wonder why Bayern were never after Diego). Then he had an average season, (granted) in one of the worst Juve teams in many years and now we have sold him, not to a top team because the biggest team interested in the guy was Schalke. There is nothing indicating that we've lost an important player. The only worrying thing is the lack of creativity we have at the moment in our team so lets wait to see what our board will do in the remaining days.

That's exactly what I meant, we rate players differently. Del Piero is another example as to how we rate players in a different way, thank you for supporting my point even more.

That exchange yesterday was not about player qualities, it was about Marotta's abilities.

Fair enough, it's your opinion.

What about Quagliarella's arrival? If you consider Diego limited...what about Fabio?

 Diego was a fire that ran out of oxygen as the season wore on. I don't blame the team around him either. Cassano isn't exactly around world class players at Samp but he made Pazzo look great and scored a bag of goals and assists and amazes the crowd with his abilities. Diego never did that with better players around him.

Diego needs to be the center of attention for a team. Built around him as the focal point. I hate the thought of building a team around one player because what happens when they get injured or slump in form....then the team suffers as a result.
