you know what lol reason why diego was played and started this whole time was to give other teams the sense that we re not really that keen to sell to help us negotiating(they wanted to sell him from the start FYI). And they even failed at that, and they initially rejected Wolf so they would come back with a higher offer and they failed at that too. I bet you the farm we reached out to them to say hey are you still interested at that price. amateurs.

whatever you want
Indeed. But shame on you for not calling Diego the enemy or that he's crapm. How dare you actually have an opinion instead of being a lemming who just goes along with what other clubs think (which wasn't even proven anyway)

The only thing I can think on why we are selling our creative player is that Marotta and Del Neri are trying to emulate the pre 2006 Juve. Think about it for a sec, we played a 4-4-2 just like now. with a formation looking like this

2006
camo---viera---emerson---nedved
Del Piero-----Trez

2010
Pepe----Marcisio---Sisso/Aquilani---Kraz

?????--------Amauri

obviously it does not compare but see the resemblance? No creative mid fielder we had a creative Del Piero. So I hope to god with this money hes thinking on buying a creative goal scorer. Like a Benzema or someone else. Juve have always done things in secret especially when moggi was in control so I hope Marotta is taking a page out of his book and keeping this big deal under wraps or else if we sell Diego and he has no plans in getting another forward we are truely F*** cause Del Piero is not what he use to be. Amauri needs a support striker, trez is probably going out and Iaquinta, well who knows his form when he gets back and our midfielders are not goal scoring machines. I just read that Quagliarella is on the verge of signing on loan, he has been left out of Napolis Europa League squad. If we get him to replace Diego then this is another non trophy year.

I think this management is taking this non foreigners thing way to far. We are in trouble boys if this Diego for Quagliarella swoop happens

the point is clear: Juve isn't the evil corp. who threw him out like a leper, the dude also made a conscious decision to leave.

as opposed to what gun to his head? or lock marotta in the bathroom? come on dude this is really not that hard to understand

Maybe but what about Diego? He had a very bad season at Porto, then at Bremen, it seemed that we were the only "good" team interested in him (considering all those players who were transferred from Bremen to Bayern, one might wonder why Bayern were never after Diego). Then he had an average season, (granted) in one of the worst Juve teams in many years and now we have sold him, not to a top team because the biggest team interested in the guy was Schalke. There is nothing indicating that we've lost an important player. The only worrying thing is the lack of creativity we have at the moment in our team so lets wait to see what our board will do in the remaining days.
no the worrying thing is the manner and i discussed this with you as well yesterday(heres to hoping you have a better memory than jack), the timing the manner and the PRICE!!

That's exactly what I meant, we rate players differently. Del Piero is another example as to how we rate players in a different way, thank you for supporting my point even more.

That exchange yesterday was not about player qualities, it was about Marotta's abilities.
what point? that you choose to only view certain aspects of players depending on your mood? then thank you for admitting it. and the exchange was about marotta as you pointed out getting us a suitable replacement which he wont be able to do for 15 mil.

At least in Wolfsburg he will be with a midfield that can pass and a STRIKER that scores and earning 6m dollars a year, 2m more than what he was getting here.

Black or white as always, the fact that you hate to admit is that everything in life is a grey scale.

Again, you think he can't get us a proper replacement, I am still hoping he does.

If they bring Cassano in, the timing is justified. As for the price, I also can't believe we couldn't have sold Diego for the same money Wolfsburg offered earlier.

I think that the fault of Marotta in this case was that he was unsure as to whom was going to be available near the end of the campaign.

I honestly believe, and shame on him for doing this if true, that once Pazzini scored that goal away to Werder Bremen, then he probably felt that Sampdoria's CL placement was in the bag.

This is the only reasoning that I can see for the timing for all of this. This just happened way too quickly once they were eliminated. Now, I'm sure that the powers that be are going to state that there is no connection at all.

Just as we were all surprised that Auilani came out of nowhere, if anyone thinks that those negotiations were not ongoing at the same time of the Poulsen transfer are just kidding themselves.

I'm very intrigued as to who is going to come in. I won't be nearly as upset about Diego leaving if they bring someone in of equal or better quality who can play in the system, as antiquated as the system may be.

However, if this signals the end of the transfer campaing, then I will say this.

Andrea Agnelli, he of the "I wanted to give the fans of Juve Edin Dzeko as a gift" comment, will have as much explaining to do as anyone else. If he had the personal financial wherewithall to fund his transfer from his own money, then selling Diego without a suitable replacement is inexcusable.

Sometimes the worst thing that you can do is have a football fan of the team as your president.

Heart and Mind are rarely separated in those instances, and they need to be to run a succesful football team

I really can't believe people blaming Del Piero for Diego's departure. How pathetic can some of you be? Some of you make it as if he's the one who has been negotiating with the Germans for this transfer and he's the one driving the Mang under his legs.

Shame on you for not only being pathetic but extra retarded.

Agreed, I feel Marotta has something up his sleeve because there is no possible way he feels this will help Juventus. We all on this forum have a sense of football and know a thing or two. Some of us think losing Diego is a huge lose which is true and some of us think ok if we lost Diego then we are sure to get equal or more skilled support striker. I really dont see this man (Marotta) being so stupid in not getting a replacement who fits the system better. He has to have someone close and are just keeping it quiet for as long as possible just like Aquilani which reports of Juve and him alone lasted a week or so and most of it was due to the medical. Again I can not see Marotta who brings in Pazzini and Cassano together with a less then average trasfer kitty come to Juve sell there most skilled player and not bring in someone better or brings in someone like Quagliarella or Di Natale. I hope its all crap and we honestly see Benzema as I think hes our best option at the moment. Pazzini needs a cassano so I dont think hes a good option with Amauri.
