That has nothing to do with nationality, OK maybe some small percent if we're talking about young, unproven players, it had to with the fact EPL clubs splash money around aimlessly. Case in point Lescott went for the same money as Tevez, which clearly shows the absurdity of the EPL. Yaya Toure went for 30mil....you're telling me Ivory Coast players are valued the same as Brazilians and Argentinians? 
Dzeko is a fucking striker who scored over 70 goals in the last two seasons, they have the right to value him more than the BRAZILIAN Diego who went for 25m, out of the same league, and flunked in Italy.
It's just a shame they're valuing him that while we're trying to buy him.

You're talking about Man City here and their crazy spending. They are throwing money around aimlessly. Not an accurate reflection of the Premier League and it's history and the stock of players from Ivory Coast has risen with the current generation of players they have. They have never been so strong. The simple fact is teams like Tottenham who don't throw money around paid 18 million for Bent. It has everything to do with nationality, it's accepted in England. Maybe if you lived over here you'd understand that it's part and part parcel of the market over here. You pay a hell of a lot more for English players, every club and manager accepts this.
I'm not going to continue to argue about the nationality of players relating to their value because it's clearly evident in world football. Basically, you seem to think Dzeko is worth 40 million Euros and worth 15 million more than the Diego of last season? The man who carried his side to the UEFA cup final the season before.... The man who by the very nature of his position and nationality carries extra pressure from being a Brazillian number 10.... The man who across 3 seasons scored almost 40 goals in 80 odd appearances, a midfielder....
Diego has been a big name in european football for a number of years. Ironically I remember him being linked to european clubs in a joint 50 million deal with Robinho when he was still at Santos, even though he was still unproven. Another example of the type of money added to players who are Brazillian Attacking Mids. He has been capped 38 times for Brazil, a little harder to break into the Brazil team than the Bosnian team i'm afraid. This also adds value don't you know, Dzeko has 26. I'll look forward to you arguing on that front too
I understand Wolfsburg want to milk every possible penny from Dzeko, but in fair reflection to the majority of transfer deals of current times and disregarding what Man City pay for players, Dzeko is probably worth around 20 million. Man City and the silly spending of Real Madrid last season are probably the main reasons why Wolfsburg think they can get 40 million euros for Dzeko.

Not to mention he almost took Bosnia close to the WC, passed a group which had WC and Euro champs Spain in it, alongside Turkey and Belgium, only to get knocked out by Portugal. Yes, getting Werder to UEFA cup final beats all that.
Big name? Diego has been an enigma ever since his departure from Santos. He flunked in freaking Porto and Werder bought him for 5m. He's quite repayed Porto I'm sure. He only has those Werder seasons to be considered a big name, practically the same number of seasons as Dzeko has with Wolfsburg, as he didn't make us famous either.
As much as it's harder to break in Brasil's squad, it's 2 times harder to make a team like Bosnia a formidable one.

Gigi Del Neri declares “Diego will remain with Juventus” as he fires up the team for their Europa League play-off against Sturm Graz.
The Brazilian had been at the centre of negotiations with Wolfsburg, but was included in the squad for tomorrow’s first leg clash in Austria.
