That has nothing to do with nationality, OK maybe some small percent if we're talking about young, unproven players, it had to with the fact EPL clubs splash money around aimlessly. Case in point Lescott went for the same money as Tevez, which clearly shows the absurdity of the EPL. Yaya Toure went for 30mil....you're telling me Ivory Coast players are valued the same as Brazilians and Argentinians?

Dzeko is a fucking striker who scored over 70 goals in the last two seasons, they have the right to value him more than the BRAZILIAN Diego who went for 25m, out of the same league, and flunked in Italy.

It's just a shame they're valuing him that while we're trying to buy him.

You're talking about Man City here and their crazy spending. They are throwing money around aimlessly. Not an accurate reflection of the Premier League and it's history and the stock of players from Ivory Coast has risen with the current generation of players they have. They have never been so strong. The simple fact is teams like Tottenham who don't throw money around paid 18 million for Bent. It has everything to do with nationality, it's accepted in England. Maybe if you lived over here you'd understand that it's part and part parcel of the market over here. You pay a hell of a lot more for English players, every club and manager accepts this.

I'm not going to continue to argue about the nationality of players relating to their value because it's clearly evident in world football. Basically, you seem to think Dzeko is worth 40 million Euros and worth 15 million more than the Diego of last season? The man who carried his side to the UEFA cup final the season before.... The man who by the very nature of his position and nationality carries extra pressure from being a Brazillian number 10.... The man who across 3 seasons scored almost 40 goals in 80 odd appearances, a midfielder....

Diego has been a big name in european football for a number of years. Ironically I remember him being linked to european clubs in a joint 50 million deal with Robinho when he was still at Santos, even though he was still unproven. Another example of the type of money added to players who are Brazillian Attacking Mids. He has been capped 38 times for Brazil, a little harder to break into the Brazil team than the Bosnian team i'm afraid. This also adds value don't you know, Dzeko has 26. I'll look forward to you arguing on that front too :alen:

I understand Wolfsburg want to milk every possible penny from Dzeko, but in fair reflection to the majority of transfer deals of current times and disregarding what Man City pay for players, Dzeko is probably worth around 20 million. Man City and the silly spending of Real Madrid last season are probably the main reasons why Wolfsburg think they can get 40 million euros for Dzeko.

You're unbelievable man..... UN-FUCKING-BELIEVABLE :sergio:

I'm not talking about Man City only, I'm talking about EPL clubs in general. Doesn't matter if they're English or not, they're overpaid. I'm honestly shocked beyond belief that you insist players value is judged by nationality. That is the most retarded thing I have heard on this forum, and that says a lot. Balotelli was sold for 30m. He's also not English. I can tell you if he wasn't bought by an EPL club, he would have been sold for 15m, maximum.

Another example, Luka Modric was bought for around 22m Eur and he's Croatian. By your logic, he should have gone for 11m since he's Croatian. Also, since he's in EPL now, Man Utd offered 35m Eur for him. Did he become English or what?

I'm not going to continue to argue about the nationality of players relating to their value because it's clearly evident in world football. Extra pressure from being Brasil nr. 10? In what universe is that? He's got like 5 players who will play in front him. He has no pressure because he doesn't play for Brasil, he's not considered good enough and that's been for years now. He's a fringe player in Brasil's squad. I'd be happy if he got to a higher level but so far he's far from being Brasil nr. 10. Again, sheer ridiculousness from you.

And what about Dzeko? He has brought a team like Wolfsburg to win the title, play CL football. Not to mention he almost took Bosnia close to the WC, passed a group which had WC and Euro champs Spain in it, alongside Turkey and Belgium, only to get knocked out by Portugal. Yes, getting Werder to UEFA cup final beats all that.

Diego has been a big name in european football for a number of years. Ironically I remember him being linked to european clubs in a joint 50 million deal with Robinho when he was still at Santos, even though he was still unproven. Big name? Diego has been an enigma ever since his departure from Santos. He flunked in freaking Porto and Werder bought him for 5m. He's quite repayed Porto I'm sure. He only has those Werder seasons to be considered a big name, practically the same number of seasons as Dzeko has with Wolfsburg, as he didn't make us famous either.

As much as it's harder to break in Brasil's squad, it's 2 times harder to make a team like Bosnia a formidable one.

Dzeko worth 20m? :lol2: Oh my God, I can't believe you are for real. And you are actually claiming that because he's Bosnian? You're saying if he were Brasilian his price would be 40m and rightfully so? A striker who has scored over 70 goals in 2 seasons + goals scored for NT. Oh my freaking God, my brain hurts from all the nonsense you've written.

Del Neri: 'Diego stays at Juve'

Gigi Del Neri declares “Diego will remain with Juventus” as he fires up the team for their Europa League play-off against Sturm Graz.
The Brazilian had been at the centre of negotiations with Wolfsburg, but was included in the squad for tomorrow’s first leg clash in Austria.

“Diego will remain with Juventus,” said the Coach in his Press conference. “He has proved that he can play in this team and we are happy about that.

“The transfer rumours have nothing to do with us. Will he play tomorrow? Seeing as he is a Juventus player, I don’t see why I shouldn’t use him.”

The Bianconeri have already overcome Shamrock Rovers in the preliminary round and are undoubtedly the favourites to get past Sturm Graz.

“In terms of fitness, we are in better shape than when we went to Ireland, but the difficulties remain the same,” continued Del Neri.

“We are facing very motivated opponents and an atmosphere that will be against us. It will take the best Juventus, which should always be the case anyway.

“I watched Sturm play against Rapid Vienna. They play the ball well and never give it away, are fast upfront and play good football.

“It will certainly be a battle and we must ensure we are ready for them from the very start of the match.

“Naturally we want to win, but in order to do that we must get out there with great respect for our opponents.”

Thats the best thing they've done all summer, give your self a pat on the back lads, I'm sure we'll all forget that you haven't managed to bring in a left-back, right winger, center-back etc.

Waiting for Tuttosport to come up with another rumour before the end of the week
It's clear they'll use the DP and *put player name here*(in this case Diego) don't like each other card.

I'm happy he's staying. He's one of the few with no cement feet.

The ridiculous thing about all this is that Del Neri and Marotta spoke about how Diego had to prove that he was worthy of his place and that he really wanted to stay, when the likes of Zebina sit there on the bench draining money out of the club and dishonoring the shirt.
