Too deep, should be right behind the forwards, not in front of Gigi. I'm exaggerating but you know what I mean.

Yeah but there is NO MOVEMENT (only Momo did a bit), so whats the point of being up there. The only ball movements we had was by him spreading to Grosso and trying to keep things fluid (Poulsen also did somewhat well in this regard). Otherwise it would have just been the same ridicolous long balls, with the big oafs up there trying to do something they cant, which is link up or do shit on their own. If he was higher up, would just wait for the ball there. There would be NO ONE for him to play ball with higher up (Man do I miss Ale).

This team movement and passing is extremely flawed. It was ridicolous seeing Diego looking around for options and there being non, except the two big oafs waiting up there waiting for hoof balls.

I know but he's pretty useless going back there and trying to do everything. He needed a map to find the center line.

110%. His skills and touches were awesome today though. He gets hardly any options. Where he turned three defenders in the second half. That was beautiful.

I shouldn't say useless because the balls weren't coming so he had to so something. 3 DM's should at least win some balls and give it to him a bit closer to the opposition's side.

I agree. He needs to be glued to the final third. Seems he's still trying hard to impress, that can impede on his effectivness.

I feel sorry for Diego, he doesn't have a teammate out there that he can connect with. Giovinco or Del Piero could be that person.

It's hard enough for Diego as it is cuz the opponents don't have to pay extra attention to anyone of our other sucky players so basically Diego always has two men on him. If we had another creative player out there with him like Giovinco, the opponents would be forced to spend some time on Giovinco aswell which would make life easier for Diego.

Look at Barcelona or Real Madrid for example, if Xavi, Henry, Ibra and Iniesta wasn't playing then Messi would have a rough game with all the players running after him.

diego had to go that far back, he had to do it all himself

does no one remember del piero when he had to do everything himself, how far back he used to track.

Of course Diego's useless performance is not his fault. No one can create a spark in a team which have other 9 players that do not have the skills to maintain possession, crosses and have a good first touch when they are receiving the ball.

It's definitely Ciro's fault. Look at the first ball Camoranesi did with Diego. It was magic that would've created a goal, but Amauri did not see Camo going forward. So, Ciro should learn for god's sake that one player isn't enough to move a team like this.

The solution is either use Christmas Tree formation, with Diego - Giovinco under Trezeguet or Amauri, or use 4-3-1-2 ONLY when Del Piero is available or if Ferrara can grow some balls and play Giovinco as a Supporter Striker. And of course in a 4-3-1-2 we need Camoranesi. Consequently, we will have 2-3 players that can hold the ball and create goals.

Ultimately, if Ferrara does not try something new agains Maccabi and play the paralyzed couple as strikers again: We're Doomed again and again....The same story of every season.

That's exactly what I've been trying to say the whole time but Elvin for example has to go with a knee jerk behaviour to prove what I said silly.

Well then say it "exactly" like that, instead of "Diego is useless", or the stuff in my sig.
When I said that Diego was useless it was about his performance against Palermo, where he simply was.

That statement in your signature is totally out of context. Reality IS that Diego cannot do all the midfield work that he's given. Whether you agree with that or not.

But why did I waste my time explaining that to you? Enjoy your lameness, you, pitbull and Razishitilist can have your laugh from time to time as well.

Nice one, I'm not even involved in this and you start name calling :D

Anyway, you went ranting from topic to tapic after the Palermo game, you could have at least admit it now, not throwing excuses, because that fraze isn't out of context, you were telling that Diego is useless.
