Someone in another forum is reporting a tuttosport article with the medical staff saying Diego will be stopped between 14-21 days as a precaution and will work by himself and the staff to balance his high muscles. Don't know how true this is since I don't have the paper.
Better be cautious tbh. Hoping for the best throughout the season :xfinger:

Juve confident on Diego injury
Saturday 1 August, 2009

Diego missed the win over Real Madrid, but Juventus medical staff assure his muscular problem is “nothing serious.”

The Brazilian scored on his debut in a 3-0 Peace Cup victory over Koreans Seongnam, but was ruled out of last night’s semi-final after sustaining a right thigh injury in training.

“It is nothing serious, as we are not dealing with damage to the muscle,” explained chief medic Fabrizio Tencone.

“I think it will only take two days of rest, then a brief personalised training plan to fully recuperate. If it was something worse, then the recovery time would be far greater.”

There are concerns over Diego’s fitness, as he had been unable to take part in the other friendlies before this week due to injury.

Once again, reports state he picked up the problem while kicking the ball.

“This confirms that there is a problem at the front of the thigh. Evidently the difference in muscular toning has not been entirely resolved yet. Having said that, many players continue in these circumstances.

“The reason we have given Diego a break is because in pre-season Juventus are taking every precaution.

“After the negative experiences we had last season, I think now we are trying to work in a different way. There is more collaboration and attention between the medical staff and the management.”

Last term Juventus were hit by a disastrous series of muscular injuries that kept the likes of Cristiano Zanetti, Mauro Camoranesi, Amauri, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Gianluigi Buffon out for weeks on end.

With this in mind, it is highly unlikely Diego will be allowed to feature in Sunday’s Peace Cup Final against Aston Villa.

What's happen to Dr.Riccardo Agricola?Nobody wants the same story like last season, when he was blame for team's bad physical condition.
I hope it's not serious injury, because have great expectations about Diego.I put him as important as was Zidane and Nedved. His role is major in our future glory in Europe and Calcio.Keep going Diego, don't rush the things and stay calm

He wont play 3 days from now, sounds more serious then just coming back that quickly. They said he play Chievo for a reason, means earliest time for him to come back.
