I love how this thread refuses to die!

I've got another Question: Who here would take Diego and 7M over Pepe and Martinez?

Or Diego over Elia and Padoin?

Or Diego over Bonucci?

It's pointless. Guy is gone, it was a complete mess from the beginning, thank god our club is finally playing well again - that's what really matters.

Vucinic fits this Juventus system, so that should be an easy answer?
Its funny. Everything everyone complained about with Diego, Vucinic also does (poor shooting, lack of end product etc.). I bet their stats from both their first seasons at Juve are fairly similar for goals/assists. Thing is, no one ever bitches about Vucinic cause we're doing so well which speaks volumes about how responsible Diego actually was for that terrible 09/10 season season.

Diego tried harder than Vucinic thats for sure but i agree with that they are similar they both have lots of skill but their shooting is weak.. Vucinic suits us far more though so he gets the nod every time but i much prefer Diego as a player in general.

Diego is not a bad player by any means but if you are playing his position and have a team's formation tailored to you, you better be damn good. The difference with Vucinic is that he adapted to the wing of 4-3-3, the formation wasn't made for him.

I'm not sure about the overall contribution in terms of movement, etc, but I think that Diego's stats would be better than Vucinic's

Just wait until Vucinic leaves, then people will go apeshit on him and his game. Look, its always like this, whenever a player leaves peoples opinions totally change to the bad.

Well that's wrong, I (and a few others) certainly believe he's an annoying player, and think Juve can do better. He's on course to have similar stats to Diego though.

Don't be silly, Sal. No one ever bitches about Vucinic, and you know it!

Especially that curly worldclass shot, with a 180 degree twist I could spot the ball going out of the pitch.

Didn't even seem to care about the game, lazing around with no passion, never tracked the balls he missed. I'm hating him more and more.
Elia should play ahead of him on the left from now on.

he still doesn't convince me...it's like he doesn't play with his heart, with passion. he got the skills, and the ways to do it but he looks so uninspired
He's very sexy player from time to time, but I agree 100% with you, he can't be relied to bring good performences match to match.

Hopefully we will bring in someone who will replace him. Such player having on rotation is very useful.
Just wasn't there. The guys got no heart.
He almost complete good passes, almost makes great plays, almost scores, almost a good player.

None is better than him, though. Unfortunately. Quagliarella is overrated and too self-centered.
I think he is just a poor man's Del Piero with no passion and a terrible shot saying that i do believe he should start nearly every match but id like to see Ale replace him more often.

Almost is the perfect word to describe Diego with. He almost shot it in goal. He almost assisted our striker. He almost dribbled that player. He almost made it.

The same could be said for Amauri.

As for Vucinic, we didn't buy him to save the team, or expect him to be the world class player we needed. He's been performing as expected, so I can't fault him that much.

After 31 rounds in serie A and in the Coppa Italia, Diego had 7 goals + 7 assists while Mirko has 7+6 right now. Though a huge number of those assists from Diego came after corner kicks. That was the only way we could score in that season. Set pieces.
