It sounds like Diego wants to leave not that we are desperate for getting rid of him.
Diego wants to stay but unfortunately Marotta is trying to sell him and therfore making him leave
up untill now he said no German teams aside from Bayern now all the sudden he reaches an agreement with Wolfsburg?!
Seems like we are pushing him out

Del Neri: 'Diego could go, but...'
Saturday 14 August, 2010
Reports insist Juventus will sell Diego to Wolfsburg, but Gigi Del Neri warns “he gives us the quality we are otherwise lacking.”

There was a bidding war in the Bundesliga for the Brazilian, but Schalke 04 appear to have pulled out, leaving a potential deal with Wolfsburg for €16m.

“Is Diego on his way out? We never considered him like that,” said the Coach after last night’s double Trofeo TIM defeat.

“He is at the centre of a transfer situation that can evolve positively or negatively. But he knows that we have great faith in him and the important thing is that he proves he deserves to stay and wants to stay.

“Certainly, if he continues playing like this then he is someone who gives us the quality we are otherwise lacking.”

Diego impressed in the Trofeo TIM, but could not prevent a 1-0 defeat to Inter and loss to Milan on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

“It’s only normal that Inter are a step above us, especially as we fielded five or six lads who have practically never played this summer,” continued Del Neri.

“It was something we had to do in order to gain match fitness. We did better against Milan with a few who had played in the Europa League and important friendlies with Lyon and Hamburg.”

This is ridiculous, you admit his got quality, but at the same time willing to take the risk to turn his transfer into positivity or negativity. What the hell, is money that big of a problem? or the fact that despite the quality he just wouldnt really fit in del neri's formation. With just over a few weeks to go thats a hell of a big risk. This should have been sorted out at the beginning of the transfer campaign or atleast few weeks ago. In or Out get the hell on with it.

he showed last night in 45 minutes what he can offer this team that others cant. He's more settled now than last year, give the guy 1 more year to prove himself and we'll be smiling. sell him now and I am certain we will live to regret it

i wouldnt like to think that they see whats going on with this side and see the marked inprovement in play when diego plays and still sell him to gamble on their other targets who run the risk of flopping...and especially seeing as he hasnt been able to throw out the deadwood...

beppe this is my final year in my degree i DO NOT NEED added stress!!!!!!!!!!

Selling Diego would take Marotta to an all new low..I already hate him, this would just make it worse

I'd even take secco back!

Diego was good last night he proved that he's the only one capable of attacking(along with Lanza) why sell him??

when he started waking the fans up...that was beautiful

I can't believe we're even considering the option to sell him.

Our board doesn't seem to appreciate what we have here. Who's next? Chiellini. Fuck that.

I'd give Diego only for Aguero. Well, maybe.

And btw, around 70% of people here wanted to have Dzeko and Diego in the same line-up this season. Well, fucking Wolfsburg might have them both, plus Kjaer.

seems to me that unlike with Secco, the media are all at a loss to work out our transfer strategy and are all jumping on hearsay.
If so, then why doesn't Marotta just come out to say that he will not be sold? It wouldn't be that difficult, but no, he doesn't say it.

Say all you want to about the media, but where there's smoke there's fire.

Thus far, the media has been pretty on top of our transfer dealings. They got it right with the players we brought in.
