just to get back to topic and to diego, i think the CL-participation of werder will be crucial for talks to go on/start or not.
For those who don't follow the bundesliga; in germany; 2 direct qualifiers + 1 elimination-game-qualifier. Bremen, atm are 4th with same amount of points as 3rd (leverkusen) and also same amount of points as 5th (Schalke). 6th place (no UEFA-Cup place) is currently occupied by Stuttgart with 3 points behind. It's a tough finale coming on, and imo, werder have one of the toughest fixtures to come. They still have to face hamburg, leverkusen (away) AND schalke, so that's all direct opponents for a cl-spot. Plus, they have a pretty down morale atm, and they somehow can't play the football they used to play at the beginning of this season.
IMO chances are high that bremen will finish 4th which would mean NO CL. It's even possible for them to finish 6th since stuttgart and schalke are always fighting. this would mean no UEFACup. So, that's the current position in germany... I don't know if diego's staying will depend on how they finish, but at least it could make negotiations far easier They stated that it does not matter if they finish in cl or not, but we all know that money makes the world go round... so... we'll see

Signin Hamsik would be the biggest mistake ever!.. We dont need this guy! And Marchisio is atleast as good. If not he will still be a good cover for the midfield as a sub.. What we need is a Star, not a youngstar.. Hamsik would not be good along with Sissoko.. I'd rather stick with a Sissoko-Zanetti due and then splash the cash on Diego or VDV!


If we really want a player to play along Sissoko then, Aquilani would be the best buy..

Since you mentioned Criscito, I think that his time at Juve has come to an end IMO. Chiellini has been a force to be reckon with and is certainly to be a starting CB for next season. I think that the best young defender in Serie A is Zapata and we should offer Criscito+$$ to Udinese for Zapata.

I hate to admit it but i think your right about Criscito & besides he's anything but itching to come back like Giovinco.. However, i'll go out on a limb here and say Santacroce from Napoli will soon be challenging Zapata as the best young Serie A defender

Werder Bremen's Brazilian star Diego has revealed that he could be on his way to the Premier League.

Diego has been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in recent years and his presence in London for Wednesday night's Brazil vs Sweden friendly at the Emirates Stadium has only increased the transfer rumours.

What scary is where it's heading, times like Madrid and so on have inflated player values astronimically and i think the problem will get a whole lot worse and further widen the gap between the financial power of clubs which will soon be at a point of ridicolous

sad but true, but with all these great players who's ego's follow teams like these will self destruct IMO. a great team is not full of bought champions. it is a balance of champions and hard workers IMO

to a degree, but money does buy success in most cases.. as to whether they can become "great" i dont know but they are loaded with all the financial ammunition needed.. In any case those great teams you are talking about with hard working players are being replaced with what the supporters and sponsors want and that is star players

IMO he'd be great in England, thats just my view tho.. The only real obstacle would be the physicality of the EPL and we all know Diego loves to take a dive every now and then so i think he'd have to change his style appropiately to adapt to the EPL
