Don't they play on the wings?
Sigh..

With Nedved and Camo in the team, your midfield looks like this:

Camoranesi midfielder midfielder Nedved

Without Camo, with Diego:

Midfielder midfielder Nedved
_________Diego

Without Nedved, with Diego

Camoranesi midfielder midfielder
___________Diego

You could say

Camoranesi midfielder Nedved
___________Diego

That's way too offensive though, and will completely compromise Camoranesi and Nedved's roles. Hence I beleive that Camoranesi, Nedved and Diego can't co-exist.

Agreed. We would get killed with that midfield.

I see no place for Diego if we have Nedved and Camoranesi in the team.
Nedved is on his last legs and Diego is already almost as good of a player as Camoranesi, if not just as good or better, albeit at the age of 22. I would drop Camo in a heartbeat for Diego as he has loads of potential and would play a more crucial role in the side if he plays behind the strikers.

What we need is more creativity in midfield and a replacement for Nedved, and Diego fits that bill pretty well.

I think we should buy Lucho (he is capable in CM and RM position) and play like that:

--------------------Att. Midf.

Nedved-------------------------------Lucho

----------------------DM

Nedved is good enough to be a starter for another season. I don't think Diego comes even close to Camoranesi, but i'm not going to contest that.

Just seems like a waste of capital, to go for an expensive player such as Diego, that will replace a player that doesn't need replacing.

I'd wait another season, before getting a Nedved (or possibly Camoranesi) replacement and invest in the more problematic area's this season.

If we wait then all that will happen is Diego's price will increase to a sum only the likes of Real, Manure or Chelsea can afford. Then we'll watch another talent pass us by needlessly... just because we don't have any foresight.

Buy him now when we can afford him... no need to wait whatsoever.

He's diff from Mauro, but It would be tough to field all three thats true.
I don't understand why we have to wait for somebody to leave or retire in order to think about replacing him. More intelligent clubs that have foresight such as Arsenal or Milan don't wait for somebody to retire in order to bring in a replacement for said player... it turns out it's actually a smart move for a starlet to work under the guidance of a Vieira or Nedved. I don't understand why some people fail to agree with this.

I have been trying to tell people this for weeks. We must have a destroyer and a CM in the team if we have Neddy and Camo or equivalent style of player.

In Italy a midfield that is too attacking will get slaughtered.

i think you'll find that camo will leave and that nedved may be used as a starting player, but Ranieri will soon find out he would be better utilised off the bench as you can see now that he is slwoing down.

As for Diego, I would have in my team any day of the week. With the likes of Tiago rumoured, we could have a serious midfield.

I think we can use the diamond 4-4-2 formation most of the year with very good results, Diego would be very useful for that and even more useful in a 3-5-2 formation, flat 4-4-2 isnt the only formation in the world that bring results,
every big team has a creative midfielder, we need one too, we need more spark in the midfield,
otherwise our creativity problems will become permanent, our wingers can both attack and defend very very efficiently, we can afford to have an AMF more than any other Italian FC.
If we need to make a new and enjoyable to watch Juve, we need to sign an AMF...
the boring boring 2 DMs Juve that is interest to results only,
results obtained by cattenacio wont make any difference and as Crap prooved will rule out our chances to create a competitive CL team for good...
