Molinaro is Ranieris favourite player and there is no way that De Ceglie would start...at least the first months...currently Molinaro>De Ceglie
That's the scary part of our transfers so far, we don't seem the need to buy a new LB.. I don't necessiraly agree with Molinaro>De Ceglie, but it'll be a mammoth task for a young inexperienced defender to impose himself on a team where every move is watched and scrutinised and playing at the very highest levels.. IMO we are over-rating the ability of Molinaro and taking too big of risk in throwing in De Ceglie as the man to challenge him for a starting LB spot

Well Diego could play in the same 4-4-2 you all suggesting
DP-Trez
Nedved Sissoko Diego Camoranesi
Molinaro/De Ceglie Chiellini Mellberg Zebina
---Buffon---

We can also buy a left back but we the situation we are in right now that is the formation with Diego
SUBS will be Giovinco, Amauri, C.Zanetti, Tiago if he stays...
and ofcourse Giovinco could replace Nedved and if Diego is getting injured Nedved could come to the middle and Giovinco could play LM or we could also use our sub Zanetti or take a chance on Tiago

Also I don't mind people dreaming about Diego but everyone who thinks it's possible that he arrives is also confident about Xabi coming. I hardly doubt we're going to spend 50 mill on midfield this year.

of course not. there's no way we'll spend that much on two players when we already bought amauri for A LOT of money. And that's where the diego-path reaches its end. Diego-Sissoko is much more problematic than Xabi-Sissoko because Sissoko needs someone he can pass the ball to. I can't stress that enough; Xabi plays CM, Diego AM. Those two players are not simply exchangeable. Now I don't really know how offensive Diego really is, and if he maybe can adapt to a more CM-like position, but he surely can't play on the edge of the box (like he often does at werder) when the balls should come from sissoko! Full stop! This is a fact, and as much as we all would like a Diego to serve Amauri and Trez and score a shitload of goals, it's not that simple. We chose a simple destructive DM who plays deep, just in front of the defense, now we have to live with that!

Badass Devil: "It's a done deal guys. The Ultras stormed the Juve headquarters naked and demanded that we sign Diego, Secco obliged and offered 1 Euro and they all held hands and chanted 'Vaffanculo Cesc, we have Paro'. It's done deal."
