But we need a dirty player. All our players are pussies. We need someone to defend his teammates and complain on the ref.
If you need dirty player, you can't find a better deal than Lugano. Lugano, Alex Witsel, Nigel de Jong are one of the most disgusting players on earth now.

This is before Coppa America. Uruguay had a friendly match against Holland, underline friendly match. This is what Lugano did.

I have an unspeakable hatred for Lugano. I've been watching him every week since 2006.

I just don't understand why and how Juve want him. He's a decent central defender, nobody can say he's bad defender but he's one of the most disgusting player on the field. He elbows, spits, pushes and tackle harshly toward any forward. He should have got 10x more yellow and red cards than he got in Turkish league but he didn't. It's simply because all the referees were afraid of Fenerbahce's president who now is in jail.

I would totally understand if Fiorentina, Lazio or Udinese want him but Juve? Hell no.

You guys can't win Seria A if you guys think Lugano is enough as a central defender. Once upon a time, you guys had Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta and so on, now you guys need Lugano? Really :)

Dont get me wrong, I would love any team to get Lugano away from Fenerbahce because i dont think they will find anybody as good as him for 3.5 millions. Plus, he's been playing for Fenerbahce for 4 years and well adapted to the league but don't get your hopes up because he's not that good.
You obviously know him more than us so your post is appreciated. I Just want Uruguay's Lugano not his Fener's version. If he's as good as he is in the WC/Copa. I want him !

Did you like how Lugano play during Copa? They only played against Argentina who were stronger than Uruguay and all people from Uruguay should thank million times to Muslera since he was the man of the match. Other than that, Uruguay played against all weak teams.

The thing I dont understand is that Juve is an Italian team and generally, Italians play best defense in the world. How could you not find a good defender in Italy?

Lugano is alright player but he's not Juve calibre of a player. But I hope you guys get him because Fener will have hard time without him since he's already well adapted to them.

Many critics sing praises for him, we need someone that will lead our backline and even if he's bad you can't go wrong with 3.5m lol.

Yeah it's hard to find a good Italian defender now, all the good ones are old beside Chiellini

We could have simply kept Melo then
Completely different kinds of dirty, Linebreak...One was voted the best defender in South America, won well in Brazil with Sao Paolo, then has done well with fener in Turkey, and been a brilliant captain for his national team at the world cup and leading his country to the copa america victory in which he won the best captain award...the other? one decent season at fiorentina, one decent season at juve (although he did kick someone in the face), decent enough for a year for Brazil, but then singlehandedly took them out of contention at the WC.

One is a winner, one is more of a loser. One has a winning mentality, one has a Melo mentality.

He didnt single handedly took them out of the WC as Holland were leading 2-1 and controlled the match. They would probably be out even if he didnt let his frustration take the better of him. But I agree that he did put the last nail in their coffin

One of their goals was a semi-own goal by him, he prevented his keeper from catching the ball. And getting a red card killed their hope of a comeback. What else can you do to fuck your team up lol ?

Most big nations in world football are going through a transition period (Brazil, France, Italy...even Argentina)

Spain, Germany and the Netherlands are the most stable and settled NTs at the moment IMO.

Italy is the only one with a pretty much horse shit team compared to the rest...

Brazil - T.Silva, Ganso, Pato, Dani Alves, Hulk etc
France - Nasri, Ribery, Evra, Benzema etc
Argentina - Messi, KUNT, Di Maria, Mascherano etc
Spain - Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Silva, Alonso, Pique etc
Germany - Ozil, Schweinsteiger, Neuer, Gomez, Lahm, Hummels etc
Netherlands - Robben, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Van Persie etc

Italy - Buffon, Chiellini, 32yr Old Pirlo, Rossi (Yank).

NONE of our players would make the starting XI of the best of these countries.

XI:

------------Neuer---------
D.Alves T.Silva Puyol Evra
Alonso Xavi
Messi--------------- Iniesta
Sneijder
KUNT

How did this serve them in Copa?

Italy: Buffon, Chiellini, Aquilani, De Rossi, Balotelli, Cassano, Rossi

They are still better players than what we have. It would be a different story at a WC.

Aquilani is not WC and had an average season with us. De Rossi is unstable at the moment. Prandelli only picks players who play often, so that leaves Cassano out unless he changes teams. That is probably the same with Balotelli if Tevez stays.

As I said: Buffon, Pirlo, Chiellini & Rossi. (Rossi is barely if at all WC)

Even with those players you mentioned none would make starting XI. Chiellini would be at least 4th choice CB after Pique. Buffon in-form (at his current age) could POSSIBLY make starting keeper.

Although a midfield/foward of:

Alonso
Xavi---Pirlo
Sneijder----------Iniesta
Messi

Would be :tuttosport:
