Dutch NT isn't as talented as it was in late '80s and '90s (Mathijsen & Heitinga as CB is not WC), but somehow they perform better as a team. But I agree that Spain, Netherlands and Germany are doing the best of all the NTs right now. I expect at least a semi final next year. :p

Face it, all these players are better than Chiellini. T.Silva, Vidic, Nesta, Puyol, and maybe Ferdinand, Terry, Pique, Lucio (yes merda) and maybe Pepe (Real).

What they all have in common though, is the fact that they play in better, more organised teams. Chiellini as an individual player would walk into their respective teams.

If you need dirty player, you can't find a better deal than Lugano. Lugano, Alex Witsel, Nigel de Jong are one of the most disgusting players on earth now.

This is before Coppa America. Uruguay had a friendly match against Holland, underline friendly match. This is what Lugano did.

c'mon, it was just van persie. no real harm in tackling van persie like a madman. definitely makes me liking him more.

He would get into starting XI of Chelsea, Inter & Real. He's not good enough to break the partnerships of T.Silva - Nesta, Puyol - Pique & Vidic - Ferdinand. He'll never be the defense leader though and needs someone else to lead.

I agree with you. I never got the impression that Chiellini was some sort of mindless caveman who wildly kicked the ball in any direction. And defensively, he's quite intelligent.

I agree and the Dutch NT is a good example for me. Mathijsen & Heitinga aren't bad but certainly not world class, but Dutch NT still have a good defence because their organized. Most people here probably never heard of Pieters, our starting LB. Having de Jong and van Bommel in front of them helps of course.

Robin van Persie is WC for me and I'd prefer him over Rossi. He likes to drop deep to get the ball and involve himself in linkup play and can score and give assists, not to mention his first touch is one of the best. I think he would do good in this 424 system. :D If Cesc and Nasri leaves, I'm pretty sure he will leave too.

Finally we'll get a guy who can give a hit to his opponent when the ref don't see that and who can defend his teammates with great implements, the last guy like him was Montero.
