As much as I think Lugano would be a very good signing for Juve, it's not because I think he's a particularly great player.

However, he can bring organisation and stability to a defence that has looked chaotic ever since Chiellini and Legrottaglie stopped playing together.

Legrottaglie wasn't a great player, but he was a very good partner for Chiellini, so Juve had a pretty good defence then.

Individually, Lugano isn't anything close to being a top CB.
Is he reliable and not mistake prone? Good man marker?

But I like the fact that he's captain of his team. He may not be brilliant as an individual, but his individuality is what we need back there. Chiellini-Lugano would be a top pairing IMO. I'm all for going in for Coates too and getting rid of one of Barzagli/Bonnucci at this point.

I meant his technical defensive ability is nothing remarkable.

It's his personality and organisational ability that make him an attractive option.

RAI Italia saying done deal for 3,5M and he will get 3 per year.

Montero gave his OK to Marotta according to the rumors :)

3m for what? Wast he earning like 1.1m at Fener! We should've just doubled it, and that's that. I think Marrotta thinks that the negotiations end after paying a buyout clause. Which isn't a negotiation in the first place. He just believes it is.

The taxes in Italia is way more than in Turkey. The calciatori in Turkey pay nearly no tax. We should involve this fact in our considerations.
