Thanks mate...

I would definitely buy a Forlan sirt if we sign him. I love this player and i think he is definitely one of the 5 greatest strikers right now. The sad think is that Athletico and Uruguay don't offer him enough to show his real talent...

he was the best striker of 2010 in my books...but paying +30 mils would be kinda insane. Too bad we really ain't linked with him
10-15 mil for him would be ok though. if he really wants to leave athletico right now it is his chance and he knows it.

although i am not optimistic either for this transfer...

Tiago is there
they want Rakitic
He knows its his last chance to play for a top european side

Give them Tiago, assurance we won't go after Rakitic when he's free + 12M, it's worth it.

right on many levels :p

The fact is that we need QUALITY right now. Not quantity not promise and talent but quality that will bring immediate effect.

And Forlan is a player that if he was 27-28 it would be a joke even speaking for him in Juve...

Diego did great in Villareal and in Athletico. In manchester he wasn't as good surely.

What I meant with my previous post is that if he had the quality he has right now 2 or 3 years before, we couldn't even talk about him. The only reason there is a chance of this happening is because of his age.

Forlan will provide us of the needed quality for the next 2 at least years. By that time i hope we have found our way and then care for the future. On the other way if this year we fail to qualify for CL, then we will enter a very dark period for Juve. When we are in deep shit like we re this time we can't seek for talents for the future that will someday replace our current start. We don't currently have any star attacker...

Right now we need quality and seeing how much money we have spend for shit players, 15 mill seem a fair price for a quality experienced player hungry for success in a big club that will completely and immediately change the look of our striking force.

Let's face the facts, after quag injury our striking force is shit. A team should firstly seek to add quality and when a level is reached then talent for the future. I definitely would prefer Dzeko or someone younger but forlan would be a key player instantly here and for the next at least 2 years...

indeed, for 15 million we could get him, lower it with the money we want for Tiago (let's say 5 million) and we have a quality striker for 2-3 seasons, one that possibly can make the difference between reaching CL this year or not.

And we have money left to invest in a good full back if the 20 million euros budget rumours from yesterday are correct.

Gazzetta: Juve has made the first offer. Loan with payment in installment (again... Marotta's style), but Atletico Madrid is not interested in the offer, but the discussion has began. :xfinger:

Motta might be included as well (not sure about the detail, but he's supposed to be on loan here... maybe we send him there now and settle the payment in June)

correct me if there is any mistranslation cause I used google translate. :snoop:

And this is the part I don't know what it means even translated:
L’Atletico parte da una valutazione di 15 milioni di euro e Forlan ha un ingaggio da 4 milioni netti, quindi - sottolinea "La Gazzetta dello Sport - il d.g. bianconero Beppe Marotta deve avere un’autorizzazione dalla proprietà e strappare l'extrabudget.
