76Mil wasn't really something that huge like it is today if you compare with those days. You know how much we paid then for Buffon, Thuram and Nedved.. you know what? He left in July 2001. At that time, we didn't win the scudetto since 1998, and lost two CL finals. The 98-2001 period wasn't that succesful and Real Madrid was a lot more likely to win the CL, which they did the very season Zizou signed for them. Ironically, the 2001_2002 season is also the one where Juventus went back to winning the scudetto. Talk about a win-win situation.
