exactly Money talks, and when you get a serious 76 million Euro offer for a player, one has to listen
76Mil wasn't really something that huge like it is today if you compare with those days. You know how much we paid then for Buffon, Thuram and Nedved.. you know what? Forget about the money, think about it this way: We simply traded Zidane for Thuram plus Nedved. I wouldn't do anything crazy like that :disagree:

Moggi didn't really do the Zidane transfer... Zizou called Luciano D'Onofrio to arrange him a transfer out of Turin. When Real offered 75M €, could Moggi really refuse, knowing that Zidane desperately wanted to leave?

why would he desperately wanted to leave? whatever was bothering him, shouldn't there be someway to convince him stay?? We are talking about 2001-02 Juventus here, one of the leading clubs in Italy and Europe then..

He left in July 2001. At that time, we didn't win the scudetto since 1998, and lost two CL finals. The 98-2001 period wasn't that succesful and Real Madrid was a lot more likely to win the CL, which they did the very season Zizou signed for them. Ironically, the 2001_2002 season is also the one where Juventus went back to winning the scudetto. Talk about a win-win situation.
