Bentancur lacks the physicality for B2B and isn't the attacking CM type either. But seems fine as deep lying playmaker.

Praet seems to have it all cept decision-making and "class" (doesn't immediately catch your attn like more gifted footballers) which are interrelated and key. If he's the professional/hardworking/ambitious type, he can grow and become very good under Allegri's tutelage.

Not a single ball winner in the team, and SMS pretty much the only one who can defend.

Your dream is more like a very expensive pseudo-nightmare. :D
its not like we have any ball winners now :p we basically just add technique and passing range to Khedira&Matuidi

Matuidi is the ball winner (not as in DM but physical CM). Lord Stewart is his deputy, but he's ofc negligible.
Matuidi doesent win many balls tho. Sergej can easily replace his contribution, and Pjanic&Kovacic arent exactly softies either (atleast not statistically, compared to Matuidi&Khedira)

Bentancur is going to be an amazing ball winner, and he already is, kid reads a game amazingly for his age. He needs to learn to not overcommit though.

How exactly Bentancur lacks physicality? Especially compared to a player like Praet? He's only 20yo so obviously gonna bulk up. He's tall, decent pace. I don't get it.

I don't know. I'd be quite happy with Hazard tbh.

Well, I'd obviously be happy with Hazard but not at the price it would take to lure him. Hazard, 'though unplayable when at his best, has always been an inconsistent player with very little efficiency. With his talent he could be much more direct.

A bit lanky needs to bulk up. Guy hustles like a mo-fo though, he isn't afraid of a challenge.

Theoretically, yes. However, looking at Giorgio he ain't no Kompany either yet he was labelled the strongest defender to face by Serie A strikers few years ago.
Bentancur 72kg (187cm)

Chiellini 85 kg (187cm)

Since I'm murican...158 lbs vs 187 lbs and both are the same height

Nearly 30 lbs difference is pretty significant:p

I wouldn't want Bentancur to gain that much weight obviously, don't want him to lose his mobility.

How would you describe him?
Pretty versatile player. Is able to cover a lot of different roles in midfield: 2 or 3 man midfield, more attacking role, more holding role. Hell, he's even played as a winger, though I personally wasn't crazy about him in that role.
Good passer, truly excellent vision & positioning, smart guy, gets the job done (without being flashy).

As far as negatives are concerned: not the strongest player physically, a bit weak in terms of tackling & regaining possession, not lethal enough in front of goal.

The big questionmark however is whether or not he's able to take the next step in his career. I think he is, but it's always going to be a gamble.

Wouldn't touch with a 10 ft pole, not a big game player expensive, flat track bully, do not want
Yeah. I think he was just motm in the FA Cup final against Utd, in which he scored the winner from the spot after having procured the penalty himself. Those 4-5 Inuit kids are going to have such a warped view of football, man :D.
