Delle Alpi to be restructured (20 Viewers)

Which option for the delle Alpi: Restore or Rebuild?

  • Restore = Pisanu/UEFA compliance, 50k seats, same structure, same stands-to-pitch gap

  • Rebuild = 40k seats for brand-spanking new park socking us into debt. (Costs 10x+ more than Restore)

the reason why we waited so long is because we were hoping that Italy would be the host of the European Championship- that way we would have gotten a big help from the government and earlier we had plans but they were shelved because of the scandal
we have other fish to fry but now that it looks like we will reach Europe next year we have to start thinking about a stadium again
I personaly like something like the Amsterdam Arena where I have been a couple of times and it cost Ajax around 11o million plus we don't really need the roof because Italy is warmer than Holland but I really like the shape and that the fans are so close to the pitch

I'd go for the restyling option providing that the "restyling" be focused on closing the gap between the stands and the pitch. I'm no architect but i find it hard to imagine how just a $10-20m restyle could achieve this so it looks like Blanc will have to spend that massive amount on a new stadium which we won't see any time soon

yeah i really like the Amsterdam Arena, but it does have design flaws!Similar to the San Siro the grass doesnt get enough light and doesn't grow well.

anyway this Delle Alpi discussion has been dragged out for a few seasons and i can't see us reaching a conclusion anytime soon.

If restyling is the cheapest option and will remove the running track then i would be in favour of that, provided that the fans can get a decent view of the pitch and are close to the pitch.

Can on of the Mods put a poll here ?

about which one is prefered by fans,
restoring Delle alpi,or bulding new modern home for juve ?

its from juventus.com:

There are two alternatives: «The first is to restore it, which would allow us to comply with the Pisanu law and with UEFA regulations. – Blanc explained – The facility's structure would remain the same, with 50,000 seats and maintaining the current distance between the stands and the pitch. The second hypothesis is building a new 40,000-seater stadium, a true Juventus home for the fans, a facility that would give lustre to the whole city and would be at the vanguard in Italy in terms of security, enjoyment of the games and visibility».

Then it's decided. We invade Amsterdam at dawn and claim it for Juve.

it certainly sounds like Blanc wants to rebuild, i like him saying it would benefit Italy and Turin; its as though he is trying to possibly secure some sort of funding towards the stadium from the government.

i think if we cannot remove the running track, then we have to go for the rebuild. There is no point spending money on the stadium if they cannot change the main flaw of the structure.

Im not in favour if having a capacity of just 40,000, i think in the long run we could regret that. i think we should try and incorporate some sort of option to increase the capicity of the staduim in the future into the designs.

Sounds like Blanc is desperate for some investors with these words

we should look for a sponsor to build us a brand new stadium like Arsenal, Bayern, Shalke...
this looks more like a bandaid for a gunshot wound to me
we need a new one maybe even at a different location

Well, I guess its unanimous, if we don't fill the gap thus increasing game atmosphere, it would be money spent for nothing..

build a new stadium, we're doing fine at the olimpico for the time being.

the whole Stadio Delle Alpi is one big mess in terms of quality and finance.. The only way we're going to attract decent crowds in Turin is if we do the something about the stand to pitch distance issue and seeing as the only way we could do that is too build a new stadium.. If it were up to me although i love the sound of Stadio Agnelli i'd really consider selling the naming rights cos lets face it we need the funds and Blanc knows it..

I know Stadiums with 30,000 capacity that can be used normally in Europe.
40,000 seats is very good. In average games when we have 20-25,000 supporters in the stadium it wont look very empty. And in big games am pretty sure the stadium will be fully packed, and 40,000 people is pretty decent number. liverpool stadium is about 45,000 and Inter's game the atmospher was great IMO......

they were only gonna make it 42,000 for the euro's so i think they probably would make it that big now. if they do it wont be too bad as long as its close to the pitch, it would be very intimidating as it would be almost full al the time.
