Il progetto del nuovo stadio della Juventus è stato presentato ieri sera in Comune. L'impianto, progettato dagli studi Gau e Shesa, è stato studiato per essere attivo non solo in occasione della partita, ma per tutta la settimana. Le strutture del Delle Alpi che verranno mantenute sono quelle che si trovano sotto quota 18 metri, il che vuol dire l’impianto base, mentre tutto quello che è visibile al pubblico sarà completamente nuovo, ad eccezione dei pilastri posizionati alle spalle delle curve, che sono ormai diventati un simbolo. Questa scelta è stata dettata da diverse ragioni, tra le quali una maggior qualificazione dell’area e la coerenza con altre strutture innovative di cui si è dotata la città di Torino in occasione delle Olimpiadi, oltre alla necessità di rispettare i requisiti necessari per ospitare le partite degli Europei 2012, compresi i quarti di finale, e di aderire al manifesto programmatico del Governo in tema di stadi.
Il nuovo stadio, che sorgerà su un’area di 50.000 mq, avrà 40.000 posti distribuiti in un unico invaso e non prevede la pista di atletica. Due significative novità riguardano la struttura esterna e la copertura. La prima sarà avvolta da una rete microforata che le permette, attraverso un sistema di proiezioni, di assumere colorazioni diverse a seconda delle ore del giorno e di ospitare video e immagini. La copertura, in teflon trasparente, lascia filtrare la luce.
Intorno all’impianto sportivo sorgeranno, su un’area di circa 32.000 mq, attività commerciali che lo renderanno un luogo di intrattenimento, fruibile non soltanto in occasione degli eventi agonistici.
Il costo del nuovo impianto, la cui realizzazione è subordinata all'assegnazione all'Italia dell'Europeo 2012, è di circa 120 milioni di euro (escluse le aree commerciali).

The project of a new stadium for Juventus has been presented at the Comune[1] yesterday evening. The concept, originating from the studies of Gau and Shesa, is intended to serve a purpose not just during matches but also during the rest of the week. The structures of the Delle Alpi stadium that will remain include only the parts below 18 meters, which roughly contains just the foundation, while everything visible to the visitors will be completely new with the exception of the pilars positioned at both of the far corners of the oval shaped ground which will adopt a symbolic role.
This choice has been made for various reasons, such as the coherence of the structure with the surrounding area as well as the necessity to respect requirements for a possible candidacy for Euro2012 and governmental guidelines for the construction of stadiums.
The new stadium, which will occupy an area of 50.000 square meters, will contain 40.000 seats distributed throughout the stadium that will no longer overlook an athletic track. There are two other important features regarding the outer cover as well as the roof: the former will consist of a microfibre netting which will, through to a projection system, adopt different colours throughout the day and night as well as display videos and images. The latter, in transparent teflon, will filter the air.
Surrounding the sports complex, an area of 32.000 square meters will be designated to commercial activity, turning the site into an area for various kinds of entertainment.
The costs of the project, whose realisation is subordinated to the allocation of Euro2012 to Italy, totals to approximately 120 million euro (excluding the surrounding areas).

40.000? not a bit to small u think?
i know our stadium was empty (i mean the della alpi) but don't u think 40000 is a bit to small. i mean most people don't go to della alpi because of the view etc
so if we build a new one i think there would be more interest to go to stadium
and aren't the images the same we see a year ago?

Look I'm sure they didn't just guess a number and they held some market researches before coming to this decision. Forty-thousand isn't that small, and it just might be the maximum in terms of economic viability.

No they are not. The ones we've seen so far were from worldstadiums.com. These are different.

It sucks that
1. We are located in Turin where spectators may not have so much interest in watching the games.
2. Even if Turin had the same percentage of population as Milan/ROma interested in watching the games, the real attandance numbers would still not come near as the city population is considerably lower.
3. Its not enough that we arent in a big city, but our stadium aint even near the city area.
With those three BIG FACTORS in mind, the Stadium Marketers have a hard job ahead of them even to fill a 40,000 capacity stadium week-in week-out.
But if Juventus manage to play like Barcelona or Arsenal or the recently on form Man U. It just might attract enough fans.
