i remember reading about us buying van der sar, and i thought we we're going to rotate between them as i could never imagine peruzzi leaving.

GOWRAMD!
ODOKHE!

Van Der Sar was good. But he had a short fuse and got burned-out quickly. His contribution was only in a short term. But Buffon, he's something else. Quite different from Peruzzi and Vandy's impact to the team. Buffon's a real obstacle for the opponents..

By the way, Pippo was unable to score against Chievo in the Copa. You guys think he's been running out of luck lately?

he wasn't scoring like mad. he was luckily scoring because keepers weren't goalkeeping like mad...hehe!
if you are saying that Pippo scored alot in the start of the season because of goalkeeping errors you don't have a clue

i believe the fallacy is not in what we belive but with what you have stated. i don't think that we consider ale as a playmaker. he is a striker. but a striker that supports the build-up in attack. you cannot consider ale as a playmaker but a striker because his position is indeed a striker. its just that he does more than what is his responsibility by also helping out in bringing the ball up in the box. you cannot compare ale and totti by positions because they are different from each other. certainly ale is not better than totti or baggio playing behind 2 strikers because that is not his forte. surely that question is a fallacy. its like asking us to prove that totti could play better in between the posts than buffon. now that would be silly 'ey?

no offense, just making my point.
You will be better informed to look before you leap in future as I was speaking to Erik and he did say Dp should play as a play maker

Its always best to read a post, look what it is in context to before you make your remarks

Really? It must have been in another page, I didn't see it.

My bad. But I don't consider Alex being a playmaker. He can be but he's not.

Have you guys seen the latest FIFA International Rankings?
Italy did not make it to the top 10. I find that quite odd.
